We were very disappointed in Etna. It is very clear that they are worried about their rating more than the students themselves. I will not say this about all the teachers. With a few amazing teachers being the exception. When we changed schools the difference was immediately noticed. I had one child on an IEP and I had to fight for services to help him. Even with RX from his Dr's they didn't want to help him. One person told me there was nothing wrong my my child and said it was just laziness. Our geneticist told us to move and get my child help from people who cared about children.

there was this girl named jewel or something she was so mean to me , i dont know if she is in the school but she is in 5th grade now like me , we used to be "friends" , but she did stuff , im cynthia , if she sees this , i hate you , your the reason why i hate myself , really glad to not be in that school anymore , or i wouldnt be here now .

I have had two children attend Pataskala Elem. and it has been a wonderful experience. I have a child who has struggled academicaly and has an LD and I have a child who excells and is a straight A student. Both have had wonderufl experiences. I can't imagine a better experience anywhere else. Of course there have been a few issues over the years but problems are corrected and addressed quickly. I love my school!

Within time this school has crumbled horrifically. Kids are bullied bsck to bsck and the bully’s get absolutely nothing done to them the kid dealing with it suffers consequences 98% of the time then they wonder why they do nothing about it. I have watched kids get stuff poured on them, screamed at, called names, etc all while a teacher was there which normally turn their heads and act clueless. As for teachers some can be HIGHLY inappropriate but that’s not all so don’t put that base on all of them as most teachers there are great. Within the learning aspect it depends on the teacher I’ve had one or two that made me excited to learn and made a hard difference on my grades. As for admin the guy principal can sometimes be a bit harsh with his punishments as once a kid only smelt a bit like marijuana and suspended them for three days. Mental health wise with taking care of it they don’t offer many solutions as they aren’t the best, only one in that office makes a difference. As I was a kid with learning disabilities they do give a ton of support which is good but sometimes the teachers do get out of line. But the bullying here is horrific and many kids move away because nothing happens to the kids getting bullied admin is a big issue.
