Zec Segal, the president of the Boston University College Republicans club, said he had been calling ICE “for months” before ICE raided the Allston Car Wash in Boston on Nov. 4, detaining nine individuals. “I’ve seen how American jobs are being given away to those with no right to be here,” Segal posted on X.

Segal himself is a British student from London.

All nine individuals detained by ICE had valid work permits and were here legally.

Only two of roughly twenty officers involved in the controversial raid reportedly identified themselves as ICE agents. Officers also reportedly refused to explain why the employees were being taken or where they were being taken to.

Local authorities described the ICE raid as “kidnapping.”
