What's the most degenerate thing in society? Gays? Trans? Furries? Equal rights for minorities & women? Potheads? The correct answer is anime. Anime is a plague that infests anything it comes into contact with. People always point to gays being represented in media as degeneracy, but the true degeneracy comes from the straights. I say that as a 100% straight person. Why is anime degenerate? (A) - Hyper-Sexualization of Females I say females because I was going to say women. But if you are familiar with any anime, odds are that you will very likely notice the young girls. Very young. Sometimes so blatantly young. This is a common theme in anime. There is this wierd creepy portrayal of young "women" often wearing very slutty outfits/costumes. It's very creepy & off putting (B) - Simps and Cuckoldry Another common thing in anime. Take notice at the hierarchies in most animes. Often there is this king or queen, prince or princess, whatever. Other times there is a commander. Sometimes it's just a leader of a small group. Notice how the people under leader(s) are very often such cucks. They always show an exaggerated amount of respect to the people on top. From the way they talk to how they physically move around. They're such fucking cucks & simps it's sickening to watch them interact with each other. (C) - Mannerisms Basically people act like pussies in anime. People share their feelings too often, even the big tough dudes among them. People are overly emotional & just act abnormal. I guess that's maybe how people are in Japan but here in the U.S. nobody acts the way people in animes act. It's so unrelatable i don't see how any American can look past this aspect. So basically that's my beef with anime. Its cringe, it's lame, it sucks. It always infests other communities, especially gaming communities. I've given it fair chances, going in with an open mind when a friend recommends me an anime. I've played a handful of anime games, I always struggle to finish them because they all have the problems I listed above. Anime has different categories and is a representation of the more traditional values they hold over there. First you say you have given it a shot what shows because If you haven’t checked out the demon slayer movie then it’s a good one to check out. A point I have to make is that it seems like your either watching only one type of show or you are searching for these negative things! When creating a show you need multiple types of characters(not everyone in the show can be a super Chad…. There can only be one hahah) so I would have to agree that there is usually a character who over panders to women for sure. Also with the over sexualization of young women…. Dude it’s anime it plays on your fantasies,, how many porn videos have the girls dressed up in school outfits?!? The other main point I have to make is that if they are telling a story about high school it’s going to be hard to draw in a grown woman for the locker room scenes. As for your second point to me it seems pretty foolish because I would hope that the subjects under the ruler are “simping” for the one in charge. If you want to see all you American ideals in a showon then watch American animation. Ugh just had to rant because I feel like anime is an incredible experience, it allows for stunningly vibrant visuals that are not able to be achieved with live action shows. Also I personally enjoy the culture of Asia they seem to be a lot more straight forward with there conversation, but I can see changes they make when I read the captions of a dubbed anime. Not sure my rant came out providing anything but to end off I will give you all some of my favorite anomie’s …… dr. Stone, bleach, obviously dbz/dragon ball super, hunter x hunter, obviously Desmond slayer is one of the most popular anime right now, fire force, and if your daring and want to watch one with hilarious sexual comedy then high school DxD and last but not least one of my favorite stupid humor anime is one punch man. I wish you made paragraphs to make that easier to read but i did read it all Ok so the "best" anime I've experienced is Final Fantasy 15. The characters act fairly normal by American standards. It still had that simping bullshit where everyone bows before the king and stands upright with their hands to their sides in his presence. Here in America we don't have to show any respect around our president. We can even outright ignore him if we want. It also has some very slutty young girls characters. No middle aged women except for like 1 that only shows up for a couple scenes, just all 18yr blondes it seems. And the main bad guy who always has these monologs was annoying. But I finished the game thanks to their beautiful graphics + marijuana. I loved just driving around admiring the beautiful vast detailed map. I just feel American animated shows are far far far superior. South Park, Rick n Morty, Adventure Time, robot chicken, boondocks, I could go on and on. I like how they're all relatable shows, they look, sound, and act American, women aren't just 17yr old sluts, there's no simping for any leaders. American games are the same deal. Generally no simping, there's actually adult women in them, usually no super slutty 18yr olds, people act "normal" Im sorry but I think American media is just far superior to Japanese media. My friend also loves one punch man but I haven't checked that out yet. I'm planning to but I don't have hulu or Netflix or anything at all. One day I'll watch it so maybe I'll finally find an anime I love as well. Despite all my hatred for anime I don't care what people watch. Everyone has their own preferences and I accept that.
