Ronald Jackson resigns as ODPEM director general

Ronald Jackson, the Director General of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management has resigned.



Jackson is heading to the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency as the new executive director.



His appointment takes effect on April 3.



Jackson became ODPEM Director General in August 2006.



He previously served as a deputy director general, senior director of the Preparedness and Operations Division and as regional coordinator for the Southern parishes.
