@rustelekom once again showed up in a thread, de-railed it with random Russia and other BS propaganda, which no one asked for nor care for.
As I always say the dude here is for 10% posting deals that no one is slightly interested in and 90% of time for wall of text about same propaganda topic.
And for some reason no one questions why this is allowed, as I don’t see any other provider talking about these topics on LET
People like @emgh do wonder and flag posts for mods attention, but they don't want to intervene for some unknown reason.
I've been flagging @emgh posts for 2 years now and he's still not banned - these mods do nothing
But they warned him recently! So apparently your flags are more valuable
guys can someone make @rustelekom post some copypasta, only then he might get a warning maybe.
I've flagged his posts many times for this. I've also included in flags "if no action, please DM me and explain why and I'll stop the flagging", complete silence.
And yeah, that I got a warning for posting a copy pasta I found on Reddit because it was rude to one of the closest friends on LET without even asking me "may this maybe be a joke of some kind?" first is quite absurd, especially with letting the derailing behavior slide time and time and time again.
Props to forum mods that this thread isn't closed though (yet) - but anyone who's been here long enough knows they'll just continue until it is. Maybe get a warning along the way, MAYBE, but that'll expire and the thread wouldn't be reopened so that's profit.
And let's be clear, he's not the only one doing it. We all know who the second guy is using the same strategy, it's always those two.
A common nominator with these guys is that they main the Ukraine-Russia thread and only ever come out of it to derail other threads, trying to make them about "the West" before forcing them to get closed. It's been allowed for years and I for one haven't had a single word back from mods about why even though I've asked for it.
Drama = clicks = money
is this where the megathread squad is causing trouble now
Nah, just @emgh playing with himself. The orgy is yet to be planned.
I better get my chair ready
It's confirmed, rsvp 28/11
I don't understand why every discussion about cyber-crime on LET descends into discussions about Russia, as if it's only Russians that are engaged in cyber-crime.
Surely we can all just agree that thieves are scum, (regardless of where they come from), and that nobody from the community should be helping them to steal....without ever needing to discuss their nationality, sexual preferences or other characteristics that are unrelated to the fact that they're thieving scum?
CrazyRDP, downstream of Aurologic, had all of their servers seized for hosting malware and child porn, 2 days ago.
This information was published today
https://nltimes.nl/2025/11/14/dutch-police-seize-thousands-servers-used-ransomware-child-sex-abuse-footage
Their ASN's
https://bgp.tools/as/401110
https://bgp.tools/as/401120
https://bgp.tools/as/401116
https://bgp.tools/as/401109
I'm sure Joseph had absolutely no idea about illicit activity going on there
@jh_aurologic is this true? If so, maybe an indication that the current procedures aren’t enough?
No, we are not aware that the customer was operating as 'CrazyRDP', nor did we have any abuse complaints or authority requests in that regards. Yet again, we are public telecommunications provider - we do not scan our downstream networks, tap their traffic or anything else.
If you lookup the upstreams of the same ASN, you'd find out, there was a bit more companies than just aurologic providing upstream. Yet, aurologic shows up due to Ti Sparkle not withdrawing routes faster than other carriers, hence you see the route as the last one up before the ASN was completely dead.
You seriously don’t think there’s any tendencies at all of your network being overrepresented for its size in shit like this?
Yes, thats the case, if you believe it or not. Just to add it here, there was also other providers providing upstream to the same ASN, known on LET. There was multiple Tier-2, as well as Tier-1 like Liberty Global. But I do get it, if something happens and aurologic as DDoS-Protection provider shows up, the picture is complete in light of the recent article - black and white vs. color issue again
What does USA and European/German law say about this? Are businesses like Aurologic required to do their due diligence on a customer when selling services? It seems to me like a legal (not moral) position could be to only act when approached by courts or law enforcement. Curious what the actual law says about this excluding morality and feelings.
There is no due diligence required. Beside of that, the customer in relation to that is not called CrazyRDP or has public visible ties nor someone informed us about thats running on their network. It's a totally different entity we see down since around the time of the article, thats all.
How is this related to aurologic? I guess they didn't provide equipment for CrazyRDP. Maximum what they can do - to stop ASN serving on their routers and even that i did not sure because this depend from contract terms.
PS. Equipment is usually seized for investigation purposes. Alternatively, the court may order the equipment to be disconnected from the network. It all depends on the law enforcement agencies.
