Fedora upgraded from beta to alpha status, because beta status went to the new CentOS Stream. You want stability, you go with RHEL, or maybe you will get lucky going with Fedora $((LATEST_VERSION - 1)) if you want newer software.
And with Ubuntu, LTS is the real stable release channel. Non-LTS releases are beta.
But then again, non-tards would know how to override distro defaults anyway. I myself use sudo-rs instead of sudo in a distro where this is not the default.
