I now feel like doing both gaming and streaming so I want to buy a mobile that is good at both, and sometimes I also take photos of nature and scenery and I edit and upload it. So I want to know which phone would be best to buy, as i do not want a long term phone it should run for atleast 2-3 year without any problem, most phones don't last more than two or three years. So, which one should I buy? Should i go with IQOO 15 or ONEPLUS 15.
It’s 2025, why are there still people getting angry at what other people like? It’s a phone.
Galaxy vs Pixel
My S10 is crapping out and it's time to "upgrade". I obviously haven't bought a phone in a while so I need some help figuring out what phone i shouldgo with (I've been reading articles for hours lol).
Right now I'm trying to decide between Galaxy S25 and Pixel 10.
-
I mainly use my phone for basic stuff: Spotify, Gmail/calendar/alarms, mobile Reddit, watching YouTube videos, taking the occasional photo/video, Google Maps, web browsing, Amazon, etc. I am clearly not a "power user".
-
I do not game on my phone.
-
I do not care about AI. I only want to make sure it won't get in my way of doing basic stuff. Turning it off would be wonderful. If I HAVE to use it, knowing which phone's AI is better/less annoying would be great.
-
I do not use any biometrics.
-
I want a UI that isn't laid out in some stupid way, if possible.
-
Again, not a power user but faster would be swell.
-
I want a battery that lasts a decently long time and wont take 2+ hours to charge in full. It would also be nice if it didn't heat up like crazy.
-
Bigger would be better. I do not want a small screen and I do not need a phone to be "light". I know this means 25+ or 10 Pro would be best but I'm still not trying to break the bank necessarily.
Overall, I'm basically just trying to decide between S25 and Pixel 10.
Sorry if this a dumb ask, but I would love to hear your advice on which phone is best for my needs, please. TIA.
I'm considering buying a new phone, because I'm coming from a OnePlus 7, which I'm really happy with, but it's already on its last legs, and I've been considering several options. I have found all of them at more or less similar prices, so cost is not a determining factor.
On the one hand, the galaxy s25 ultra, although it is perhaps too big, which is why I valued the s25+. I don't know if anyone has had the s25 ultra or both and can tell you how the size is, if it is comfortable and if you get used to it well.
Then on the other hand I have also been looking at the honor magic v3 with the offer that came out here. The beauty of this one is that it is foldable, which I find interesting. I don't know if anyone has had it and can share their experience with it or the problems it has given them.
And now also the Oneplus 15 that just came out because I have had several Oneplus and I am very happy with all of them, the only thing I don't know if it surpasses the Samsung ones.
Any suggestions?
Greetings
Today I found this channel dropping a vidoe about their 2 years of experiments comparing charging techs from different brands. The conclusion is that Fast charging or slow charging doesn't significantly matter, just below 5 points difference over 2 years. What really helps battery longevity is to operate phones between 30 to 80 percent charging state
The YouTube video.
Can anyone give me a review of sub-40k phones? Ive got 40K to spend, help me choose a good phone guys please🙏
After being with Apple since the 3GS I’m going to take the leap to an Android phone. I’m strongly leaning towards a Samsung and in particular the S25 Ultra, but because I have been so heavily invested in Apple, I’m also a tad apprehensive.
I’ve done a tonne of research - perhaps too much, and I’m at now second guessing myself, because some people say the camera on the S25 are on par with the iPhone, while other say it’s garbage. I know video isn’t so great on the Galaxy which is fine I don’t really do lots of video - but the photo quality does concern me. I like to have good, high quality photos.
Or… do I keep my powder dry and wait till the S26 is released early next year.
So, I guess my question is, will I need to prepare myself for a downgrade in photo quality, or am I getting bamboozled by too much review information and tying myself in knots?
Hello! I do feel a bit dump asking this but I do need help. But today, I was looking at my cellular data usage and it saids 56GB. Now I know that every month it rests and I have 75GB to use. But there’s no way that in two weeks I’ve used that much as I’ve always been very cautious about how much data I use. Every time I look at my data period it never has reset it or changed. I tried watching some videos and one said about that “ Reset Statistics “ button on the bottom. What does that necessarily do? Because at the bottom under it, it saids “last reset: May 31 2024 “ which is the day I got the phone. So how do I check? Do I press that button or just wait for my data to max out to 75GB??
Help a girl out!
Thank you all 🫶
Blatant stealing of a question from the sub, but the smartphone is a subgenre or era, if you will, on its own.
I currently have an iPhone XR which I’ve had for a good six years and I have been wanting to upgrade for almost a year. I have a little money saved up and can afford to buy the 13 without taking out a contract.
Is the 13 likely to last me the next 5 years before I decide to get a new one?
Am I crazy to get a 13 when the latest iPhone is the 17?
Hi everyone, I'm trying to choose a phone for my older father. I recently saw Motorola Edge 50 Fusion discounted for 180$ which seems like a nice deal to me. Hence I wanted to ask about your thoughts - is the phone decent? He will only be using it for very basic tasks like web browsing or watching YouTube, certainly not a power user. If any of you could tell me about the phone's life span (will it survive at least 3 years without being all laggy?) and software (is it not too buggy?), I would really appreciate it. Alternatively, if you know any decent phones in this price range below 180$, I would appreciate any suggestions:)
Ps. Please do not tell me to buy something more expensive because it will be a lot better, I know how prices work. I myself am an avid Pixel enjoyer, but my dad really doesn't need more expansive phones. I'm just looking for something to do the job for a few years.
Thank you!
Hey everyone — like a lot of people lately, I’ve found myself really bored of my iPhone (16 Pro Max). I’ve been an iPhone user for 10 years now. I get the whole “just use your phone as a tool” argument, and I do agree with it to an extent… but I still want something that actually feels exciting and capable again.
The only problem? I feel completely locked into the Apple ecosystem. I use a MacBook, iPad, and — the biggest anchor of them all — an Apple Watch. Everything else seems to have some kind of workaround if you switch, except for the watch.
I’m a full-time wedding photographer and travel a lot, so both photo and video quality really matter to me. My main hesitation is hearing that images get compressed when uploading from Android phones to social media — is that actually true?
Right now I’m looking at the Samsung S25 Ultra and Google Pixel 10 Pro (leaning toward the Pixel). Has anyone made the switch recently? Was it worth it?
The truth is, if it weren’t for my Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular), I probably would’ve jumped ship already.
Yes, many people go for high-end phones. But many others buy affordable phones, whether by personal choice, because they don't use them much, or because they live in countries where tech products are expensive.
In my case, I'm fed up with even models over €150 having HD+ screens and many others with only 4GB of RAM.
Among the cheapest are, for example, the Redmi 15c. While the 14c came with 6GB and 8GB of RAM, currently only 4GB versions are available. At least, that's what I saw in stores. They perform worse than the 14c, despite being the same phone with less RAM. Other manufacturers like Motorola, Realme, and even Samsung do the same.
The worst part is that you'll always see the 4GB RAM versions on sale. You won't find the higher-capacity models, or they'll be so expensive that you can't afford the higher-end models. With Android 15, 4GB is insufficient. It overloads apps and barely keeps them active in the background. I've had the same phone with 4GB of RAM and more RAM. The one with more RAM runs much more smoothly and doesn't overload the apps.
Android 16 requires a minimum of 6GB of RAM. What are manufacturers going to do? Re-release them with Android 15 and continue adding RAM piecemeal?
Regarding HD+ screens: In low-end phones, it doesn't make sense to release a 6.9" brick with such a low pixel density. A Full HD+ screen, even without going for a decent panel, makes a huge difference. For years, €200 phones came with Full HD screens under 6". Now we have larger screens, but they look worse.
There are glaring examples like the Moto G34, which was released with HD+, the current Samsung A0x series like the A06/A07, or the Realme 12x. Some will say they're cheap phones. But we're not always talking about €50 phones, but phones with an average price of €150 or more. Special mention to a phone I saw on sale. A Smart 200 or 400, I don't remember. It came with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. That's useless in 2025.
We're living in a time similar to what I experienced with the first Android phones, like the Galaxy Ace or the HTC Wildfire. Low-end phones are sold with very little RAM, so the phone will only last a couple of days before you replace it. If you don't increase your budget, you can find the same processor and RAM in low-end models. Of course, they have a bigger battery and a larger screen, but the image quality is worse.
For example, the Xiaomi Redmi 10c 4G came out with the Snapdragon 680. Well, several generations later they're still using the MediaTek Helio based on the G80 series. They reused the now-outdated Snapdragon in the Redmi 15 4G.
They don't innovate in the low-end market. They only sell you leftover parts from other phones and the same phone sold over and over again under different names.
I need your sincere help on this one. There's a lot of debate between these two brands. I have the Samsung A12 since it's release (2020) but it's bugging a lot, it's slow and it doesn't even read de SD card anymore. I use it for a day to day basis, nothing that crazy but it's everything.(My work phone + my personal use phone and all that) I'm stuck between the SAMSUNG S25 or the IPHONE 17 (the base one) Never used iOS,only Samsung but I'm willing to try something other than what I'm used to. I own a hybrid HP pc,so I don't really intend on getting another pc or tablet just to follow the line. Any thoughts? Thank you.
Like 500 + - euros, I currently have redmi note 13, I bought a pixel 9a and I returned it 5 days later, front camera was bad, the speakers were like a cave and it was smaller than my current phone.
I was thinking a xiaomi 15T maybe? it cost 600 euros and it comes with a tablet, but some people said here that its almost the same as the 14T
I’ve had the 15 Ultra for a few weeks, and honestly, I’m struggling to understand the hype.
It’s not a bad phone, but it’s definitely not worth the €1500 and all the praise it gets.
I'm going to talk mainly about the camera because...it's a smartphone for photography!
Everything screams “flagship,” but it just doesn’t feel like one. Heavy, awkward, inconsistent and HyperOS doesn’t help.
Here’s why:
-
Comfort & design: the phone is massive and heavy. Between the camera bump and the overall size, it’s just not pleasant to handle daily, for example when I go to a restaurant, I feel like I'm taking something bulky out of my coat; even when I put it back in my coat, it's quite annoying, and actually, it's not natural at all.
-
Camera inconsistency: indoors or low light? It falls apart. Photos are too soft, overprocessed, the colorimetry will either be okay, or be saturated, or it will be dull and lack depth; we can't control it from the first photo.
-
Software inconsistencies: using HyperOS feels like a daily internal conflict. I’ve tried it on a bunch of recent Xiaomi phones, and every time it’s the same story: the hardware is mouth-watering, but the software… man, it’s like living with a gorgeous partner who won’t let you touch the remote. The UI’s stiff, lifeless, and allergic to customization. Widgets? Trash. Style? None. You never feel like it’s your phone, more like you’re just renting it, the animations move like they’re underwater, even at 0.5x. I hate to admit it, but my brain keeps looping “you sure, bro? you sure you don’t miss Samsung?” every damn time because animations was quicker on everything in the UI is slower and less intuitive.
-
Macro & food shots: "horrible" experience. If you get too close, you get tilt-shift distortions or "unusable" focus, and the food always has a saturated colorimetry, even in Leica Authentic.
-
Color accuracy: completely inconsistent between focal lengths. You can literally watch the color tone shift when you zoom.
-
Compared to iPhone 16: a family member’s iPhone 16 took better, more natural photos instantly > no fiddling, no hardcore manual adjustments needed, while I'm here like a random guy with my big Builky phone with its "pro" grip and Xiaomi camera kit and you know what ? In the end a cake will be fluorescent, a little bit orange instead of having a more natural, warmer color with a natural sharpness, no, it will either be too smoothed and therefore not sharp because the Xiaomi processing makes sure to remove as much noise as possible.
-
(my wife’s) Samsung S25 : also not perfect, I would even say garbage but at least predictable. The 15 Ultra feels like a gamble each time you open the camera.
-
Everyday use: it’s fine in bright light or landscapes, but I don’t take pictures of clouds all day. For realistic portraits or food? Disappointing.
-
Value: with the xiaomi camera kit, Xiaomi 90w fast wired chargers, Xiaomi 80w wireless fast charger, and a Nilkin case, I spent a LOT… and I’m still considering returning it, I feel like I have a phone that's half gadget.
In short: "impressive hardware", poor balance.
It feels like Xiaomi built an amazing spec sheet, not an amazing experience.
I know there are people who are disappointed like me, and others who simply refuse to see the obvious flaws and are fine with them, and that's ok, I have nothing against that.
I just don't understand how we can be 100% satisfied and say it's worth the price, even though, it's brand new but for much less. I'm just like, "ah, ok, i have the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, yaay..."
If I have the time and if someone wants to, I can post some examples but don't come and compare your 15U shots outdoor of cars, houses and landscapes, I don't care about that.
Iphone 16 pro or 16 pro max or s25 ultra
Just how little it actually matters day to day
Sure, there are things each do better and worse than each other; that’s always going to be the case.
But when I’m actually using my phone, it’s just another glass rectangle I scroll Reddit on, check/reply to email, make calls, etc
Much more time is spent within those specific apps than actually dealing with either OS. Reddit is still Reddit. Gmail is still Gmail. Facebook is still awful
It just really doesn’t matter a whole lot what platform those things happen on, in my opinion.
Anyone else experience the same thing?
Would also love to hear from people that disagree! Maybe there’s more to it that I don’t have a use case for
Hey guys I really want a smaller phone I have the iPhone 14 Plus and it’s super uncomfortable to hold and text with one hand. Besides getting the 17 pro I love that size. Is there an android with this size and also awesome cameras and no lag? Samsung regular line up 24/25 seems to lag after a year or so. I keep hearing pixel is awful this year lol don’t know what to do
Hi! Please suggest me a new phone... I am not a construction worker, but I like to do lots of outdoor activities with my phone like taking it on biking trips, etc and I usually drop it from time to time. So I don't need the absolute best protection, but I prefer to use phones I don't need to be very careful around. I have a low budget, probably gonna buy a second hand one. I would like it to have a decent camera as taking nice photos is important for me also a stable battery would be important. I have just seen a slightly used Motorola Thinkphone for 150$ and thinking about buying it, but it might not be as sturdy as I would like? What do you think, do you have anything else to recommend?
So currently am using a gaalxy s21fe sd888 version since july 2023 and I wanna keep the phone for 1 year maybe 1 year and a half maximum. Thiking about buying a flagship another galaxy s or maybe an iPhone I do really want to try an Iphone . All I want from the next phone is : An excellent camera that keeps its quality even after many updates. A smooth phone even after many updates. I use the phone too much like 10h of sot . I play codm and I scroll too much , social media texting , videos and pictures ... etc Btw I want to buy my next phone as I said at the end of 2026 like october or november cuz my s21fe will not last for more than that so tell me please an iPhone or a new galaxy s ?
Is there a way to control an Iphone from an Android device? The closest I get is that you can just view. But not control.
I'm looking for a new smartphone because my OnePlus 9 Pro is no longer receiving software updates. Otherwise, I'm actually satisfied, even though I was never completely happy with the model.
What's important to me:
-
Small size. The current one is too big for me.
-
Fast charging. I love 65W charging because I often forget to plug it in. Plugging it in for 5 minutes before leaving the house is great.
-
Openness. I develop apps and love being able to customize things myself.
-
Camera. I like taking photos, and the current quality is fine for me. It shouldn't be a downgrade. The selfie camera and photos in the dark should be better.
-
Updates. I want to be able to use my smartphone for about 5 years.
The price isn't that important to me at the moment. I have no problem with Chinese phones, but my current experience with the OnePlus has made me rather averse to them. I've gotten rid of a lot of bloatware, but it's sometimes buggy and heats up. The support is meh, and update policy regarding problems isn't the greatest.
Somehow, that leaves only Google and Samsung. I don't like the charging speed of the Pixel, and I don't like Samsung's own closed system. I have a lot of Google products here. I'm considering buying a used Pixel 9 Pro 256GB, just to test it out and see if I can get along with it. Will I be happy with it?
Is there perhaps a smartphone that I'm overlooking?
I’m curious about your experiences with Redmi phones. They’re known for being super affordable compared to other brands, but still offering solid performance. Have you used any of the recent Redmi models? How’s the battery life, camera quality, and overall durability?
Thinking about picking one up, so any real-world feedback would be appreciated!
Ok so I would like to put some points that are important for me in a phone:
- I like having good battery life
- Must be an Android phone
- camera matters, but it's not the most important
- Not a phone gamer or do heavy tasks with it
- I would like the phone to last a long time
My current phone is Pixel 6 and I really like it, but its battery is depleting very fast, and it's not a very commercial phone in my country so that goes against it
The budget is up to $850. Obviously, I would like to spend less, but if I can get a great phone that will function for years, I can spend more.
Thank you for reading and appreciate any help and comments on this, as I would like to make a purchase I will not regret
Edit: I would also like to say I don't mind buying an excellent condition used phone or open box
I currently own a samsung s20fe, its ok and stil works but the glass is cracked and the camera isn't very good and i have some network connectivity issues as well.
Im looking to buy a new smart phone and want to givre priority to the camera and the display but also to peeformance.
I am mostly going to be suing my phone to take pics and also to browse and general use i don't really game a lot on my phone only the occasional game of efootball.
My budget is in the mid to higher range Im not looking to spend as much as an iphone 17 pro tho.
Would love to hear your suggestions.
My son doesn’t care about phones at all. He has a pretty old Nokia smartphone that is so smart anymore. It takes ages to do anything but the battery is still great though.
He needs a smartphone that is better but he don’t need the newest thing. He doesn’t care for the camera. He basically texts, uses Reddit and chrome and Spotify. I want it to have a lasting battery (not like all of my iPhones) The budget is around 150$ or LESS and it needs to be an android.
I’m looking at some Xiaomi - how’s the battery life on those?
Tia
Ok, so for context, I've had an S25 Ultra since it launched at the start of the year. Originally thinking it was going to be the "be all and end all" phone, it sadly turned into the most disappointing smartphone I have personally owned. Why? Well, fellow redditors, allow me to list my reasons after 8 or so months:
-
Performance: To Samsung's credit, this has been very good. Snappy, quick to load apps and all that. The Snapdragon processor works well here, so much so Samsung chose it for the whole S25 range. And that is also one of it's drawbacks. When the S24 and S24+ launched in the UK and EU, they had the Exynos CPU while the S24 Ultra had the Snapdragon CPU. That was one of the reasons why the Ultra phone was worth getting. But now with the same 8 Elite Gen 4 CPU with the same minor overclock across the whole S25 range, why bother with the Ultra? You would get the same CPU performance with the regular S25 (and S25+). Felt like a rip-off.
-
Battery. How can I put this? It has been...sporadic. One day, I can get to the end of the day with between 50-60% battery left. The next, fully charged to about 60% in 4 hours! Wat?! Sometimes I've seen the percentage drop in real time, even going from 100% down to 80% within an hour! And I don't even play games on my phone...or any phone I've owned in the past. If a Si/C Li-Ion battery was used, I might have said differently. Might. But nope, a cheaper lithium ion one with just 5000mAh.
-
Cameras. Hoo boy! This might cause some controversy. Oh well. In my opinion, they're mid. Again, with this being the "Ultra" phone, you'd expect Samsung to have the lenses hand picked so they are the best you can get in a phone. I was excited to take my first photo, only for my reaction to be: "Hmm, it's alright I guess." They just didn't blow me away. But then I took a night photo. Honestly, my old OnePlus 7T Pro took better night photos that this! As I said, this is just my personal opinion. I'm sorry for triggering some people.
-
Other things: The stylus, another USP of the S25 "Ultra," is just that. A stylus...and a basic one at that. Even though I didn't have one, The S24 Ultra was worth it, because of what the stylus can do, which made you use it more and more. On the S25 "Ultra," I have used it a total of...3 times. First was when I first got the phone. Second was testing the A.I. Magic Eraser on some photos and third was highlighting a chip on my car's windscreen. After that, I had no further use for it. As for A.I. stuff, it is useful. But I haven't used it every day, so it doesn't really bother me. And the "side app" drawer with the A.I. shortcuts, I haven't touched that once. Oh, and 45w "fast charging"...wired...in 2025. When other phones have 50w wireless charging...and up to 100w wired on some...for a few years before. Hmm...
So, to end things, I can't wait to switch to something else soon. I do want to stick with Android, as I'm not interested in iPhones due to personal reasons. My choices could be either OnePlus 15, Oppo Find X9 Pro or Honor Magic 8 Pro right now (subject to availability in the UK).
Samsung, please do better next time!
Thanks for reading.
I currently have the s21U and the back of the phone started detaching (probably battery problems and overheating). My initial plan was to wait for the s26 but im scared that my phone won't take me that far especially with the delay rumors. Now the question. I always had samsung and now i am skeptical about making the change. From everything i had read the phones are pretty similar and i won't be disappointed either way. Money wise the iphone is 400-500 more expensive. Anyone that can help me decide? Im leaning into iphone just to experience them too but i dont know if its worth it.
Hey everyone,
I’ll be in Italy next week and plan to buy a new iPhone there. I’m trying to decide between the 14 Pro Max, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 16 Plus, and 16e.
I can get around €100–130 tax-free, so my final budget would be about €550–630.
I like big phones (I’m a big guy 😅), but I’m unsure about the 60Hz display on the Plus models — I’ve never used a phone with a higher refresh rate before, so maybe it wouldn’t bother me.
I also heard Apple Intelligence is only available on 15 Pro and newer, which makes things more confusing.
Right now I’m using an iPhone 8 Plus btw.
I’m also open to second-hand options if it makes more sense.
Given my budget and priorities, what would you recommend — newer model, Pro features, or size?
Hi, I currently have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, but I’d like to switch to a smartphone with truly useful AI features. In particular, since I have a terrible memory for work-related things and need to write everything down, I’m looking for a phone with AI functions that can actually help me. For example, I’d like it to remind me to call a certain client on a specific day, with that reminder staying visible on the screen. Something like that that works in EU(i live in Italy). My budget goes up to €1000. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!
I have a Galaxy S25. I love everything about it except for the camera. It's well behind the iphone 16 pro, for example, and that's frustrating.
If I switch to Galaxy S25 Ultra, I'll have a brick of a phone. I want to keep it compact.
If I switch to Pixel Pro, which supposedly has a camera that's more comparable to the 16 Pro, I lose the good Snapdragon processor.
If I switch to a Chinese phone or iPhone, I lose Android.
EDIT: I thought Google Services were not available on Chinese phones, but that doesn't seem to be the case, so I'm open to suggestions!
Is there any phone that has a camera comparable to that of the iPhone 16 pro, that is Android, compact, and has a reasonable battery / processor?
I’m trying out my first android phone and I’m shocked by how low frame rate and slow the response is when recording video messages using Instagram, Messenger, and Snapchat. I often use the zoom for comedic effect in the videos, and the zoom is so delayed on the pixel throughout all these apps, even compared to my five year old struggling iPhone SE2. As well as the frame rate looking like it’s 24 frames in the video messages vs my iPhone SE appearing like a quick and snappy 60fps. Is this just how android works with these apps? It’s so disappointing considering the price of the pixel and its specs.
I've been planning a phone upgrade since my current phone could really retire now and since it's already nearing black friday, I figured I'd take the chance. I've actually seen a good deal on verizon about free flagship phones, tablets, or wearables with a new line or unlimited plan.
I'm trying to know if this is actually worth it or if there's some fine print that makes it less awesome than it looks so I wanted to ask people who are on verizon if their deals are good enough and worth it or should I just look for another?
Hello, i recently got a new xiaomi redmi phone, my old one was a huawei, i need help transferring all my data including accounts, apps data and chats, the guy at the store told me to use an app called. Mi mover but it didn't work, it only transferred photos, videos, documents, , apps but without any in app data or accounts, what can i do??
Hello! I have been a lifelong Samsung phone user, except for the iPhone 5s. Nowadays, everything about Samsung feels wrong to me. Now they are pulling the One UI 8 update, which they released so late. Users claim that there is a bug in the update, supposedly about battery drains.
What is the situation on the other side of the fence? Does Apple make you feel satisfied using an iPhone? I switched to macOS after using Windows for years, and I am happy as a software engineer.
But I don't know about the iPhones. I didn't have a good experience on my iPhone 5s in terms of battery life. Of course, Apple must improve the battery issues now but I want to know what you really think.
Is there anyone switched from Samsung phone to an iPhone? Your comments matter a lot to me.
Thanks in advance!
Hi all,
I've woken up this morning and gone to check my emails and things and noticed snapchat appeared in my app screen. I deleted snapchat a couple of years ago because I just didn't use it anymore, so it hasn't been on my phone for a long time.
What is even weirder is it was already logged in to my old snapchat account when I went into it.
How has my phone managed to redownload snapchat and log me in overnight????
I know for a fact that it was uninstalled because I go through my app settings and widgets and things quite often.
My phone is a samsung galaxy s22 ultra if that's of any help!
TIA :)
Assuming someone takes really good care of their phone, have good charging habits, keeps it away from extreme conditions (wet, dusty, cold, hot), using a case and/or screen protector and clears their cache every once in a while, how long do you expect a modern phone (2017 upwards) to last?
How long have you kept a phone running on all original parts (screen, battery, body, etc)
I want to buy a new smartphone to replace my Poco X3 Pro. I’m looking for something compact with a good battery, so I’ve settled on OnePlus. So, is it worth buying the 13T now for ~$530, or should I wait for the 15T release? And is it true that OnePlus batteries die very quickly?
After I clock out, I don’t want to do much — just lie back and scroll my phone until I fall asleep.Only problem: my phone battery is garbage now. I’m always playing → charging → playing again. It’s like I’m stuck in loop mode. Finally decided: okay, I need a power bank with real staying power + fast charging. But as everyone knows, money’s a bit tight — I want to replace my phone but can’t right now. So I’m planning to get a power bank instead; otherwise, every time I go out for a bit, I end up hunting for a place to charge. Any recommendations for something with fast charging and strong battery life?
wich one’s better, if we use in-app camera, like using IG effects or snapchat filters???
Phone deletes all background noise and I want to record background noise how can I prevent my phone from not filtering out the background noise in videos
Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide between these phones:
-
vivo X200 Pro Mini
-
vivo X200 Ultra
-
vivo X300
-
vivo X300 Pro
-
Xiaomi 15
-
Xiaomi 15 Ultra
Here’s what I care about most:
-
Size: I want something that’s compact but not too small — easy to use with one hand. Around 6.0–6.4 inches would be perfect, but I’m open to a bit larger if it feels right in the hand.
-
Gaming performance: I play demanding games and want smooth, stable performance with good thermals (no major throttling after a while).
-
Camera: I want a really good camera for both day and night shots, and ideally decent video too.
Battery life and charging speed are nice bonuses but not my top priority.
If you’ve used or tested any of these phones, which would you recommend and why?
Please share your thoughts on real-world size/feel, gaming performance, heat management, and camera quality.
Here's my situation, my iphone Xs is malfunctioning after almost 7 years of use. After being an iphone user for a long time and generally uninformed about new phone tech, I'm wondering if there are better options when considering an upgrade?
My requirements are simple, I want a phone with the most longevity and a fine camera for portrait photos and other nonsense. Is there an Andriod out right now that can compete with the longevity of iphone? Which Android has a great camera? What about Androids stands out to you that is a greater experience over the iphone? Thank you!
I really want to get the cmf phone pro 2 but my parents want me to stay with apple and have a goodish deal with their internet provider for a iphone 16 e, what is the better choice (if possible include pros and cons)
I used to be a heavy Android user for years and then switched to iPhone and the Apple ecosystem in 2016. I have a lot of Apple devices but just find them too boring to use iPhone and am looking to try Android again. I just can’t figure out what I will miss and if I can really do it or if I’m hooked already.
I use MacBooks, Apple TVs, AirPods, even Apple mouse and keyboard, and iPads. So everything, like Apple wallet and AirTags lol.
My whole family is also Apple users with sharing subscriptions, purchases, etc.
I think it’s impossible to do but am just curious if someone had a similar experience and if it’s really worth it? I mean it’s personal opinion but maybe just don’t need to waste time thinking about it.
Hello! I was wondering if people could help recommend a phone to me!
I’m looking for a Samsung with a good camera.
My budget is about $1,500 AUD, but it’s flexible if need be
If you have a Samsung that you think fits this, please tell me the model below and if you like/dislike other features.
Hey!
I’m looking to get a new phone. I currently use an iPhone 13, and it works well for what I need (social media, streaming music and TV, messaging, reading, pictures, occasionally Minecraft).
I am stuck between the Galaxy A56 or Pixel 9a. They’re both £499, the Galaxy has 256GB and the Pixel has 128GB.
My only specifications are that I need it to last at least a few years.
I like the size and layout of the Galaxy, and have used Samsung (A21s) before, and liked it, but I’ve heard the Pixel is better?
Anyone got any advice or any other recommendations?
TIA! :D
Hello! I am currently using an A52s and am very satisfied with OneUI, as it does not block apps and permissions in the background. I use a routine app that I haven't opened in three years, but it always does what it should when I have an alarm at home. The OS just leaves it alone.
Now I'm looking for a successor for my smartphone. Which devices are suitable if I want:
- The previously mentioned clean OS - Security updates for the next three years - A very good main camera - A budget up to €400, the less, the better
Thank you in advance!
Want to pick one of them based on longevity camera performance, I don't care about ultrawide camera. I see Samsung, Sony and Omnivon sensors but honestly don't understand which is better sensors 😅 Here is the details of the specs from Gemini:

I want to upgrade from iphone 11 pro to latest iphone 17. I just wanted to know i should wait till black friday. My current iphone is literally in it's last stage. The battery is already bloating and it cant even last for 1.5 hours .I am not even sure if i can get $100 for a trade in. My friends told me that student can get special discounts or something through student id and i should do monthly payment plan.
I had my previous phone, whose hotspot I used for working during my WFH days. Now I have got a new phone with the same SIM card, but I am not able to access my age; all other pages are working except WordPress. My PG is in delhi and my owner is currently out of town, so I can’t have access to WiFi, so I am dependent on the mobile hotspot.
WHAT TO DOO???!!! PLEASE TELL GUYS
I have an iphone 11 so both of these will be a BIG upgrade so please tell me which one will better while being unbiased dont say value is a point because in my country right now the s25 ultra is exactly the same price as the op13 so just tell me the better choice
Not at all a flex post, these are the devices that I have bought (And sold!) using my own money, I have an issue where I keep buying and selling phones. I guess it’s more of an expensive hobby as I just like buying and trying new things and find it difficult to settle on a device!
I’m happy to answer any questions on the below observations:
Nov 2025 - Oppo Find x9 Pro (ColorOS 16) (Still have this) - Finally a device that I will be happy to keep, zero complaints so far
Nov 2025 - iPhone 16 Plus (Still have this) - Keeping to be able to use iOS to support my elderly mother when she has issues with her phone
Oct 2025 - iPhone 17 Pro Max - Bought to use on beach holiday as I didn’t want to take a folding phone on the beach and wanted reliable cameras
Sep 2025 - Honor Magic v5 (MagicOS 10 Beta) - Best foldable device, good camera’s, fantastic hardware. Sold as I didn’t use inner screen much.
Sep 2025 - Vivo x200 Pro (Global - FuntouchOS) - Fantastic device, the one of the phone I wished I’d kept hold of
Aug 2025 - OnePlus Open (OxygenOS) - Imported OneStop Digital, great device but felt heavy and the lack of wireless charging was an issue
Aug 2025 - Vivo x200 Ultra (China - OriginOS) - Best cameras I’ve had on a phone, Chinese OS was an issue for me
Jun 2025 - Google Pixel 9 Pro XL (PixelUI) - Nice screen and great camera software, but let down by hardware and PixelUI
May 2025 - Xiaomi 15 Ultra (HyperOS) - Great phone, inconsistent cameras, battery life improved over time, but HyperOS needs developing and maturing
Mar 2025 - iPhone 16 Pro - Bought for better cameras and tried to keep it quiet that I had replaced the Christmas present, but screen still too small for me
Dec 2024 - iPhone 16 - Received as a Christmas present as I was complaining about Chinese OS on Vivo X Fold3 Pro, screen too small for me, average cameras
Oct 2024 - Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold (PixelUI) - Amazing hardware, apart from cameras and charging, but camera software nearly makes up for it, PixelUI is not for me
Sep 2024 - Vivo x Fold3 Pro (China - OriginOS) - Imported (Not saying who from as I wouldn’t recommend them), Best folding device other than Honor Magic v5, great hardware, good cameras just couldn’t get on with OriginOS
Jun 2024 - Google Pixel Fold (PixelUI) - Loved the form factor of this fold but inner bezels were ridiculous as was the charging speeds, really dislike the locked down PixelUi
May 2024 - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 (OneUI) - Outer screen way too narrow to use, but at least it made me want to try a better folding device, terrible cameras
Mar 2024 - Google Pixel 8 Pro (PixelUI) - Good device just let down by processor and overheating regularly
Feb 2024 - Samsung S22 Ultra (Still have this) - Overheated regularly and good cameras with great zoom.
OS in order (Best to worst, just my opinion)
-
ColorOS - Speedy, without having to alter animations time
-
OxygenOS - No issues with it at all
-
FuntouchOS - Much better experience than the OriginOS on Vivo devices
-
MagicOS - Quite buggy, Honor customer service are terrible
-
OneUI – Straight-forward but preferred the 3-finger screenshot gesture than the palm swipe, also unable to cancel alarm clock before it goes off
-
iOS - If it did gestures like back and 3-finger screenshot it would be better, used to be leading, but now lacking behind Android
-
OriginOS - Too fiddly to setup for someone who changes phones regularly. For me, some things make it not suitable outside of China
-
HyperOS - Buggy as hell, battery intensive and seems poorly optimised, needs maturing
-
PixelUI - Desktop too locked down, At-a-Glance and Search Bar.
Hey!
I have used the Samsung Note 10 + for the last 6 years, but the battery isn't what it used to be and I need more power too. I'm looking for a phone with a huge battery, huge amout of ram and a good cpu, like the Snapdragon 8 Elite or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The OnePlus 15 was released today and I really like it since it has everything what I'm looking for but alot of people say that it's way too expensive for what it is and that the camera is horrible, even though I don't take a lot of photos.
Have you guys got any recommendations and what do you think?
Hello,
I’m looking for advice on my next phone — anything’s on the table except the Galaxy Fold 7, which is just too expensive.
I’ve been using flip phones for years (Flip 5 before this, and Oppo Flip before that), but both developed screen issues — green lines, hinge marks, etc. So this time I’m prioritising durability and not automatically going with another foldable.
It seems most phones main feature is the camera, otherwise very similar?
My usage:
Mostly general tasks: browsing, work documents, watching videos, occasional gaming.
I don’t care much about cameras or storage.
Wireless charging, years of updates and speakers do not matter to me.
What does matter: speed (no lag), big/flat screen, smooth UI, and good battery.
Phones I’m looking at:
OnePlus 13 – like the IR blaster, don’t love curved edges on the edge of the screen.
ROG Phone 9 – love the design, but maybe overkill since I don’t game much.
Oppo Find X9 – nice specs, but didn’t love the body-to-screen feel.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 – compact but worried about durability again.
Galaxy S25+ – feels great in hand, balanced option. Always would be regretting not getting ultra.
S25 Ultra – love the display size, but a bit thick/heavy.
RedMagic 9 Pro – looks awesome, but heard OS isn’t very polished.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra / 15 T – seem interesting
Xiaomi 15c looks really nice but seems quite cheap.
I am open to anything I like trying new phones, and hate boring (one thing i dislike about s25 it's boring looking). I am in New Zealand so have to make sure we can get to
Heart says ROG, brain says that’s a dumb buy for my usage I just want a phone that feels fast, smooth, and has a beautiful screen.
What would you recommend for someone who mainly values display quality + performance polish over cameras.
Edit: I am not paying for it, work is but up to 2500nzd
Are you very happy?
You miss anything?
You keeping it?
How different would Android and iOS phones be today if BlackBerry and Windows phones were actually successful and still around today?
I'm a lifelong Android user but I honestly wish there were at least another major OS just to have another option in the market. I think competition is good for both companies and consumers.
What are your thoughts on this?
The OnePlus 15 releases soon and there are plenty of leaked specifications that I've seen both bad and good opinions about
Is it really as bad as people make it out to be? Or is it just OnePlus switching priorities? Preferably want people who have experience with previous OnePlus phones.
It's an upgrade either way from my SE 3rd gen; I'm just curious if people really think it's as bad as it's made out to be by some cynical people
Also, again, posted here a few times but if anyone has any advice for alternative brands that might be remotely worth considering, please mention them - I'm torn between the potential S26U and the OnePlus 15 (partially due to cases partially due to popular opinion)
He also want an s24 fe basically an all rounded phones like me but he also thinking about getting the pixel 9 for 150 usd more and also the 128gb and the s24 fe is 256 gb.i don't think it worth it bc he would have to take a loan which he probably can't payoff.also he want to use the phone for long term.
Looking for recommendations based on real experiences with good camera + battery + smooth performance.
Is it worth it to switch from Samsung S24 Ultra to Iphone 17 pro max?
looking to upgrade my phone this year and trying to figure out what the best flagship options are for black friday 2025. i’m open to samsung, google, or iphone if the price is right. anyone seen solid leaks or confirmed deals yet? Any suggestions or early ads you’ve come across?
I was thinking about Oppo Find X9 and Oneplus 15 but im open to suggestions.
Mostly I care about good battery life and good display.
On my phone I play Clash Royale, watch videos, use social media.
As the title suggests I am looking to switch but have no idea where to start lol. I’m looking for a phone with long battery, ability to tap to pay like Apple Pay, good photos.
I'll make selfie Head talking videos so I'd like to know which phone has the best front camera indoor , sometimes there will be sunlight and sometimes I'll only be able to record at night using artificial light so I'd like the video without noise/grains
The phones that are in my budget : Iphone 15/ pixel 9 / Samsung Galaxy S25
Hey y'all
I'm working as VA for UAE base client and ang gusto nila na as part of may tasks is to take calls internationally between Philippines and UAE. I told them na wala akong phone kasi ipad-wifi lang meron ako. balak nila bilhan ako phone, and nagtatanong sila sakin ng good deals phone na hindi sobrang mahal pero good quality. Any suggestions please. I'm actually torned between apple and samsung
So I have been an android user for ever but last year I thought to give ios a try . I bought a new iPhone 15 base and have loved using it , I had a few “iPhone problems “ but it was fine for the most part . Now ever since the ios 26 update it’s bad , very bad . I’ve been getting shit battery life even though my battery is at 88 % I can’t get through a full day without charging it twice or maybe thrice , it baaaad so much so that Iam considering buying a midrange android phone by selling this shit, Iam looking for an arounder good screen good battery and good cameras , can you guys suggest me something ? Not too expensive around 35-40k
I have an iPhone 12 and updated to ios 26. I was like ooo customization. Worst decision I ever made theres sooo many bugs specifically with screen time. Theres no way to downgrade back to 18.5 so im f**ked
Do any of you guys have suggestions on a new phone thats not apple's bs
By the time I finished writing this my phone battery went down 6%
Here’s something I’ve been thinking about . what if phones were built like mini PCs? Instead of companies pushing out new models every year, imagine if you could just upgrade the parts that matter.
Say you could swap your RAM or storage when you start running out of space. Or replace the camera module when better sensors come out. Even something simple like upgrading the speakers or battery instead of buying a whole new phone.
Technically speaking, is that even doable? Or are modern phones just too tightly packed for modular upgrades to ever work?
And if it was possible, do you think companies would even want to make something like that?
I currently have an iPhone 13 that i havent updated since ios18 because of storage restrictions. My camera roll is constantly filling up, the battery life is garbage, and I want to upgrade to something that is generally better quality. My criteria for a phone includes a good camera first and foremost, storage space, battery life, and of course cost considerations. Ive heard good things about vivo but I’m in the states and am a little iffy about it. My current carrier is t-mobile and i’d prefer not to switch. Also, I detest the massive push for ai features everywhere. I have privacy concerns and also like feeling as though I am in control of everything technical with my devices. What would you recommend i look into? I’ve only ever had iphones, so i’d like to hear some pros and cons of switching to android.
Hey there! My current phone is kinda on lifesupport rn, so I am looking for a replacement, problem is, I know basically nothing about phones and neither do the people in my life(at least the ones I asked).
Thats why I am turning to the internet. So here is the rough things I am looking for:
I want it to be an android, and I would like for it to cost less than 1000€(ideally somewhere in the 300-800€ range. If there is a really standout one that costs more than 1000 I might be swayed to spend a bit extra, but rn I am leaning towards wanting to avoid that).
Things that are important to me when it comes to a phone:
I do enjoy taking pictures so a good camera is important to me. I also prefer bigger phones over smaller ones since my hands are quite big. And lastly, I watch a lot of youtube via picture in picture, sometimes while playing games on my phone, so I presume processingpower is also a pretty big factor? and lastly, I would like to do the thing where u can transfer ur data over to the new phones, I dunno if thats something all of them can do, but I would hate to loose my data(I cant rly back it up rn, since the USB-C port is the issue so I can no longer connect it to my pc).
So yeah, thats about it, any specific model yall could recommend?(also, I live in austria, dunno if some phones aint getting sold in the EU, but if so, thats another limiting factor)

Well hi guys! As the title reads Ive been thinking of doing a switch lately.. Ive thought about it before I got my samsung but android held me back from familiarity... In my life Ive had a nokia, (7 years old or something), some no-name phone from an internet provider, and then I had 2 huaweis.. one of them had google services the other unfortunately didnt have (which was my dealbreaker for huawei) hence why now, I got the samsung A54 5G around April 2024. I havent had this phone for too long which is why I'm also hesitant of just "throwing it away" and getting a new one, but it already showed an issue with the battery/charging and I had to spend 45euros to fix it. Meanwhile my bf whos got the Iphone 14 pro (i think) has had it for 2 years with 0 issues aside from dust buildup in the charging port which took no cost to "fix". Recently I saw the friend who got me to switch to samsung, and she had an iphone and said very good words for it. Its like a "forever" phone, got it to last her a long time, better quality, camera is unimaginable (her words). But the one downside she said is the battery life.. She hasnt had to change it yet but its a very common issue and I've heard about that from other people too... Ive found the iPhone 15 for around 670 new, and about 500 refurbished. Im not sure if its really worth it to change now or atleast wait for another issue to pop up with the samsung one because tbh i have been a bit disappointed in it.
So right now it's only my wife and I. I'm currently using the Google Pixel 7 which I've had since launch and my wife is using the iPhone 13.
So far the Pixel 7 has been a really solid phone for me. I'm looking to replace the battery later this year and keep it for another year or so then upgrade to hopefully the Pixel 11 Pro XL in either late 2026 or early 2027.
My wife on the other hand will likely replace her iPhone 13 around the same time as me or later. So far it's been holding up well for her.
I'm not a power user by any means, what's important to me is:
-
As close to stock Android as possible
-
Timely/long OS update support
-
Battery life
-
Smaller form factor
-
Decent camera
Im going through AT&T so i cant get the phone i really want (A OnePlus 13), the options are basically the Pixel line and the Galaxy line.
Which of the two phones in the title would you recommend? Or would you recommend a different Pixel/Galaxy instead?
I received my new Motorola G Stylus Android phone yesterday.
TLDR: Below is my (GOOD) experience: The phone immediately directed me how to transfer my photos and contacts from my iPhone over wifi and even how to transfer (the rest) from the iCloud. I went to my new "app store" (Google play), and downloaded Thunderbird for email. I was able to use "import from desktop" and get multiple email accounts configured (without doing any work!) in one step---amazing! The built-in AI, "Gemini", answered some very basic questions I had (such as where I could see all the apps on my phone, and what some of my new screen icons referred to). I spent a few hours customizing my new screentop consistent with my phone usage (not much different than with Windows). I still need to download a few apps.
In short, in retrospect, I'm surprised at the big todo folks make about transferring from iOS to Android! I'm certainly not an expert with my new phone yet, but I wish to share that there seems to me to be much less to be concerned about than one might imagine from the number of posts there are about switching! Now, if coming from a flip-phone, then there would be something to talk about... I am pretty sure that I will like Android just fine! 😀. Disclaimer: I am "computer literate".
I recently posted that I was looking for an alternative for my OnePlus 8t after it got a green line on the screen (I was told that all OnePlus and Pixel phones have started to get a green line on the screen after some software update, which damaged the screen's jack). I'm drawn towards Samsung A56 and the Oppo Reno 13, (both box packed, 12 GB ram variant) They are about the same price due to an offer and have a 80$ discount. Which one should I get? I know the Oppo Reno 13 has better hardware specs, but I'm afraid if it will have the same green line issue after some time, since Oppo and OnePlus have the same parent company. Please help.
Hey — planning to buy a budget phone in Europe (might wait until Black Friday). Budget €250 (open to used/refurbished). My must-haves:
-
Battery: full day of mixed use (video, web, apps)
-
Display: OLED preferred, ≥90 Hz
-
Thermal: shouldn’t heat up quickly under normal apps/maps
-
Camera: decent photos (daylight + OK low-light)
-
Software: at least a couple years of OS/security updates (I want to keep it 3–4 years)
I’ve been looking at: Pixel 7 / 7a / 7Pro (used about €170-190) / 8 / 8a/ 8Pro(used about €200-210), Samsung Galaxy A56 (new about €220 ), Nothing CMF Phone 2 (new about €250). Open to other suggestions. What would you pick and why? Links / price checks welcome.
Hi, I currently have REALME 10 and I bought it when it was launched. I'm planning now to upgrade to a phone best for photography and gaming. I currently have 50MP, Can you recommend me a phone? Budget is 15K.
I'm REALLY needing a new ANDROID smartphone. Recently the power button on the side broke off the latest time the phone got knocked on the floor, because of not having access to my phone for an 8 month period the battery life is only FOUR HOURS now, it's a cheapo $150 Motorola Moto G from 2021, and just yesterday it restarted itself in the middle of use and almost corrupted all my data.
Hi dear people,
I am currently in debate between a;
Galaxy S25 or a base iPhone 17.
The thing is, I've used iPhones since the iPhone 7+. I currently own a MacBook as well. BUT... it's the price.
Galaxy S25 would cost me 299 after trade in, the iPhone would cost me 699.
Is the price difference justifyable or is the S25 a clear winner at that price?
hello! so i’m looking for a phone that’ll be able to handle games like genshin, wuthering waves, duet night abyss, love and deepspace, etc. i’m still a student so anything that’s within a student budget is appreciated 👉🏻👈🏻 i don’t mind sacrificing graphics so long as the gameplay is smooth :’)
Whatever price
USA
I'm looking for a phone that takes good quality photos and videos with a budget on around 550 usd so I'm good with buying a used phone but im so lost at what model. I'm open for both android and apple. What would you guys recommend?
This is probably just an impulse want, but I need to ask other peoples opinions.
I have the apple eco system, iPhone, AirPods Pro max, the MacBook and iPad. I like it and I don’t particularly need a new phone or anything, but I wanted a one plus due to the 100w charger and it’s got better specs than the phone I have (iPhone 16 pro max). I was looking at one plus 13.
I’ve had a one plus before and found it really good, was a great phone. I just don’t know what to do. I’d keep my macbook but would probably replace the iPad and headphone with a wearable and tablet from one plus.
What do you think? Would it be a stupid idea Thanks!
I'm a content creator and entrepreneur, and I'm looking for a new phone to upgrade to. I've heard that the Samsung S24 Ultra is a good option. On the other hand, many people recommend some type of iPhone like the 15. What do you recommend?
Hello,
I need to change phones as my Google Pixel 5a has once again broken. I had the 4a before which also broke, and I started really disliking Pixels because of how fragile they are, with near zero water resistance which is not ideal for someone living in a very rainy country (UK).
I have been looking at the Nothing phone 3a as I really like the clean interface and unusual design. I've seen some reviews on the NP 3a and it seems like is largely positive, praising their OS smoothness, camera and features and I wanted to get more feedback.
I wanted to ask if anyone has any NP intel or if they could recommend other phones considering my needs:
---
Not Iphones - No hate, I just don't like the restrictive OS
Good camera, annoyingly Iphones do have good ones so something similar
Long battery life and ideally fast charging
Clean OS, with minimal compatibility issues with other software
Light and ideally not massive as I have relatively small hands, with the Pixel 5a already being quite big as I'm unable to type with one hand
Budget is max £400
Durability! - I am a serial phone dropper, I'm quite clumsy so I need something that can take some damage, although I always have a case on. This is why I dislike the Pixel, because even with a heavy duty case it breaks relatively easily
---
I would appreciate all the help I can get! :)
Just sharing what actually worked for me today (US only). I almost checked out without testing the sitewide coupon and would’ve overpaid. Two tips that mattered:
Try the sitewide first, then compare with any store coupon; keep whichever nets more.
If you’re a few bucks short of a tier, add a cheap filler and re-apply.

Should i get 17 pro max Or wait s26 ultra, i’m looking for stable and faster performance and get better user experience without issues I don’t have any apple ecosystem so I depend on phone for everything
I have an iphone 11 since 2022 and it's starting to feel a bit slow and the storage is always full so i can't download apps or take higher quality videos, in the last 3 months i tought of switching back to android but probably (from a non-expert POV) i'm biased toward iphone cameras because of their really high quality. I mainly saw some offers for iphones 16e /15 pro, samsung s25Fe or s25(128Gb) but also some for pixel 9a or for nothing 3a pro (hoping the adv rumor is false). Can you help me choose a phone with long battery life, good camera for day and night photos/videos withou spending a fortune.
What to buy between this two? I've been planning on buying hot60pro because it's a lot cheaper and almost has the same specs as hot60pro+. But after seeing the 1.5 meter drop test on infinix hot60pro+, I'm now considering on buying that instead.
However, my brother disagrees. He says that this just means that hot60pro is just as durable as hot 60pro+, just not tested unlike hot60pro+
Wdyt? Which should I buy and why
I’m using iPhone 11 for long time every time I look to new iPhone it feels very same because I don’t used to take photos or videos much then I see that my phone got very old so I need to upgrade looking to iPhone 17. I feel very same so I feel like I want to switch something new like Google pixel is that really a bs or a good choice what do you think guys?
Currently surviving with s20, overheating issues since day one, have to charge it 2-3 times a day, charging port working only under specific angles. Granted, I haven't been the best owner, didn't take the best care of the phone, so i'm looking to reedem myself with the next one. Willing to go up to 800 or 900 euros, since I'm buying for the next 4 to 5 years.
Looking for:
Great battery life - used to charging for around 70-80 minutes, doesn't annoy me much if it lasts me through the day, would be great to have faster charging though. Mostly consume content, scroll social media, gmail, yt, texting, usual stuff.
Great camera - something reliable that produces great photos, I don't take videos often. s20 always had a problem with low light and the shutter button lags, I was always impressed by the iphones photos from a nightclub, for example, really like the color pallete
screen - like the quality of my screen now, hate that it doesn't get dim enough in the dark or bright enough on a sunny day, it gets really hot when it's on high brightness,
size - prefer smaller phones, although I held the iphone 16 pro max and the s25 ultra, wasn't that much of a shock, so I'm open to it
speakers - I like the speakers on my s20, they get loud and sound nice, at least to me, so something at that level or better
Never really been into iOS, but love the camera, worried about the battery life, and they're really expensive in my country - for example, iphone 17 256 G is over a 1000 euros, maybe 999, in some places, also feel like spare parts and everything is so expensive to repair, but I'm willing to be persuaded if it's really worth it
As much as I understand, Samsung hasn't improved much on the cameras since the s21, but I found the s25 ultra 256 gb for 900 euros without a discount. Seems like an awkward time to buy, since the s26 line is expected to improve and the prices for older models will drop when it gets released in February, so I might pay much more for a device that has already been out for a while if I buy it before February , but I can't survive with the s20 until next summer, when the s26 line prices drop
The Pixel seems overpriced. The 10 pro 256 gb is 981 euros without discounts, the XL 256 gb is 1017, but idek if most of the features are available in my country. Also, don't know about the longevity of the battery and the processor. Love the design, OS and camera and the pro is basically the same size as my s20, which I do like.
Had high hopes for one plus 15, I love the design much more compared to the 13, but I don't like the cameras, and they seem to have degraded them compared to the 13, also kind of dislike the software. Love the glove and rain modes so you can type normally in those conditions.
Sorry for the long post, but these are all of my thoughts. I would really appreciate your help, since this is a big purchase for me, and I wanna use my next phone for a long time. I'm open to any suggestions and feel free to correct me if my assumptions are wrong.
Why are so many companies racing for the most powerful Chipset? Like honestly, besides gaming. Who needs this much raw power? Everything from Pixels G4 to the S25 ultra over locked X Elite is more than enough for phone usage. Taking pictures. Social media. Browsing. Where does all this extra power people pay for go? And why do so many people believe they need such powerful chipsets for normal phone usage? I truly feel like these companies have made people think they need a NASA level GPU/CPU in their pockets for bragging rights
spilt milk on my phone, just the stressful life of a toddler mom, but now my audio is not working at all. for a phone that is supposed to be water resistant youd think a splash would mean nothing but NOPE!! someone help, ive done the like liquid removing audios, nothing, I really can't afford a new phone, so wtf do i do. EDIT: jk I'm just impatient asf, it works fine now
I’m torn between getting the Samsung s23 ultra, and the Samsung s25.
The specs and stuff honestly confuse me, and none of my friends really know how to help.
I’m a photographer, so the camera is important to me, and as I understand, the 23 ultra has the better camera. But I’m worried that because it is an older model, it will not last as long. I can’t really afford a phone at all right now, but mine has decided to kill itself, and I have no choice. So this phone needs to last me like 5 years.
I wanted to past the specs and stuff onto here, but apparently photos are banned.
Hello, I am looking to buy a new Android. I have a Google Pixel 8a. I'm looking for something with a significantly better battery and that has more reliable fast charging. I use my phone for calls, texts, maps, Tiktok, emails, calendar, Reddit and the odd other app. So nothing fancy or complicated. Cheers in advance
I’ve had iPhone 17 for just about a month now and it’s absolutely horrible i hate it! The service on the phone sucks. What can i do? I’ve rest network settings and still no improvement. When my phone goes out of service I can’t call I can’t text and I can’t use my data. Please can someone assist me on what I can do?
Hey folks,
I'm sick of getting ads while using the default file explorer of my phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G) or when using the cleanup tool, even though ads (recommendations) are disabled. There used to be a time, where I had almost no ads (I used a tutorial to disable all ads and the ad service), but after some updates, they came back and even worse and there's no way to turn it off now.
What I'm looking for is a smartphone where I have a clean OS, no bloatware, no ads in default apps. I guess all the China smartphones are out of question in this regard. I used to have a Samsung like 8 years ago, but iirc it was full of bloatware, not sure how is it now. I had Huawei and Xiaomi phones after that and now I'm sick of it and probably will never buy a china smartphone again.
Also I'm not a fan of Iphone, I like and value android a lot.
What would you recommend?
So my old smartphone is getting too slow and glitchy. Normally I go for cheaper smartphones because I don't want to feel too bad if I accidentally break or lose them. But I'm located in the US and due to various current events I've decided I want one that's more "future proof" in case there are supply chain disruptions in the next few years. What smartphones are more likely to last longer? Should I just go for whatever has the most GB and RAM, and pay extra for it? Or do the more expensive phones have a lot of extra bells and whistles I won't need without lasting much longer? Would a flagship phone last sigficantly longer for me than a midrange one?
Hey everyone, I’ve been a loyal Samsung user for over 13 years. Every phone I’ve owned started lagging around the 3rd year, except my current one, the S10 Lite. It’s been solid overall, but after about 3 and a half years, vertical lines appeared on the screen. That really hurt my trust in Samsung, especially since I’ve always stuck with them.
Here’s how I use my phone: • Content creation (videos and photography) • Video editing • Music • YouTube and social media • Instagram management • Photo editing (Canva, Snapseed, Pixellab) • Movie downloads via torrents
What I’m mainly looking for in my next phone: • A camera that still delivers great quality even after 2 to 3 years • Strong long-term performance without lag • Reliable build and screen quality (no surprises like these lines again) • Smooth experience for content creation and editing apps
For those who switched from Samsung or Android to iPhone, how’s the real-world experience been? Does the iPhone actually hold up better in the long run, especially for creators, or do you end up missing Android’s flexibility?
Hi i wanted to buy a new phone because my redmi gave up after 2 years. And i was wondering what phone should i get, my price rage is 200-250$, im looking for something that Will not lag when i play games and have a good battery life because i use my phone alot Camera can be decent. It can be used and i dont care if its an iphone or android.
I'm thinking of buying one of these with 6GB of RAM. I've seen a few reviews where people hate on it. What other phone would be good in that price range? I had a Redmi 9 that lasted me over four years, but now I need to replace it because of a battery problem
Regarding the cameras, I don't care much about that; in terms of size, I prefer compact phones, and I've been wanting to get a smaller one for a while now.

I’ve covered the complete details (with full specs, price leaks & comparisons) on my blog.
What Do You Think?
If these specs turn out to be true, Realme might actually challenge OnePlus, iQOO, and Xiaomi’s flagship phones this year. Would you pick the GT 8 Pro over something like the OnePlus 13 or iQOO 13 Pro?
iPhone 13pro -> pixel 9 -> iPhone 17.
Pixel 9
Pros
-
Unmatched AI integration. From pulling up Gemini to quickly asking it questions about what you see on screen or to simply ask anything and receive a prompt response without seeing ‘unable to complete this request due to network issues’ or the fabled ‘I don’t understand what you’re saying’. Also amongst all android devices pixel is the most optimized with AI.
Gemini is literally like the AI from ‘Her’ movie. Don’t get ideas I’m just talking about like a work assistant. Dont get ideas.
2. Photos are the best. Snaps just look superb, with minimal editing required. They are vibrant yes, but they are also easily editable leveraging AI, if that’s something you like.
3. Most iPhone looking android phone. I mean this in a good way. Pixels are simple, sleek, and not grotesquely large in hand. The raw android experience is pretty neat, without bloatware, without gimmicks.
Cons (from my POV)
-
Microphone issues with recording videos. My piece had some concerns with audio clarity when recording videos, such as playing musical instruments or just audio monologue.
-
Didn’t like the UI. For example the lack of coverage in themed icons. More than half my icons look shit and dont blend in with the phones theme. Rubbed me the wrong way, i like clean minimalistic UI.
Also dafuq is up with expressive design? It’s just too colourful and loud for my taste. Looks like a bunch of design interns created that shit.
3. Found the phone heavy. Iv got arthritis in my wrists. It hurts. Using the phone for long periods of time made it hurt more. I got an iPhone 16e from work, it blew my mind, as it was so light and had great battery life.
4. Not a big fan of the glass back. Fingerprint magnet. Bitch needs to be cleaned up every time I hold it.
IPhone 17
Pros:
-
Pretty AF. Liquid Glass just looks very good. Themes work well, no coverage issues.
-
It’s lighter than pixel.
-
No microphone issues and I prefer AirPods to pixel buds pro2, although AirPods do have shit battery life.
Cons:
-
Horrendous AI.
I was watching a review of ‘Jaime Rivera’ on YouTube, and this clown was like “I’m not defending Apple but live translation and circle to search etc are at par with other manufacturers… and then goes on to say that NO competitor has figured out AI integration on device yet…”
I’m like bitch that’s exactly what Android devices, especially the Pixel phones have achieved. Doesent matter whether the AI features are ‘on device’ or ‘in cloud’, they just make it happen.
I swear Apple AI/Siri would have completed only about 20% of my requests so far, while that ballpark % would be 95% in a pixel phone.
2. That’s it. AI is a massive issue with iPhones.
Just wanted to hold both manufacturers accountable. I like them almost equal. Just my two cents. Let me know what you think.
I lately notice how the Galaxy S25 looks awfully similar to the iPhone design and it's nit just that but they increase the price to a similar too while production costs are like 500 the sell it for 2-4 times of that just like Apple does. Same thing with the UI that gets turned more and mire into iPhone iOS for some reason.
Looking for a waterproof phone case that’s lightweight and slim that has a built in privacy screen protecter. I’ve not been able to find anything online and have resorted to putting a hydrogel privacy screen under my case. This has not been ideal. Suggestions?
Estoy en duda entre estos celulares. Poco f6pro Poco f7 Xiaomi redmi note 14pro plus 5g Moto Edge 50 pro
Tengo un moto g71... Osea con cualquiera voy a sentir un cambio .... La cámara es algo que me interesa pero vi Review del Xiaomi redmi y no se me generó más duda ... Que opinan? Alguno cuente su experiencia. . gracias
I absolutely love the feeling of holding the iPhone 17 Pro, it’s just amazing. But Android suits me better overall, so I decided to go with the Oppo Find X9 Pro instead.
In terms of specs and features, Oppo clearly wins for me. But I’m curious for those of you who switched from an iPhone to the Find X9 Pro, do you still get that same premium feel when using it?
In a once in a long time situation I had to make a presentation on the go, I downloaded keynote and it did the job just fine. I created a presentation which I could see in the files app.
I paid for a phone which comes with an app that makes presentations and gives me the choice to store data on my device instead of the cloud, doesn’t have ads, no paywalled features, no account logins, is actually pretty good. You can’t do this on the most expensive android. Both Google slides and powerpoint store data on cloud by default, and an average user wouldn’t want to hustle with it to make it work offline.
The fact that there’s a huge number of useless AI features being shoved up our throats but simple things like an offline, ad free, and good quality apps by OEMs is not happening is mind blowing. I don’t know how long Apple is gonna continue this, but I’ll enjoy while it lasts.
I recently lost my phone during a trip and I have been thinking about getting the samsung galaxy s25 to replace it. im planning to wait for the black friday 2025 deals to see if i can get a better price, but Im not totally sure if it’s worth it compared to older samsung models or even other brands. for anyone who already has the s25 or tried it out, how is the performance and battery life so far? what stores usually have the best samsung galaxy s25 black friday 2025 deals?
I'm new to Motorola, but would like to have it as my next phone. I've narrowed it down to Edge 60 Pro and the new Edge 70 that just launched.
Here are my considerations:
I'm located in Germany and the 70 comes with a package of freebies including a smart watch and earbuds. I like it that it's thin. However, I read on some German forums that it's absurdly overpriced and Motorola has the habit of dropping the price a few weeks or months after launching.
Apparently the camera of the 60 is better?
The 70 will have updates and support for longer?
I missed the prelaunch discount on the 70 and I'm very reluctant to give out 800€ for it even with all the freebies. If I wait it out a bit and the price drops, which of the 2 would be the better choice?
My dad's bday is coming and his s20fe is finally giving up so I figured the best gift would be a new phone. I would love to give him the new FE but it's not within my budget right now. What would be a decent smartphone that would last a few years at least? His s20 has been through hell and back but even then it has been super solid.
So, I've been doing a lot of research on phones recently and am pretty annoyed with the smartphone market (I live in the US btw).
I've mainly used Pixel/Nexus phones and a couple iPhones but overall like using Android phones better. So, I was looking for a new phone to upgrade from my aging Pixel 7. At first, the OnePlus 12/13 or Galaxy S24+ seemed like the best options. I think they are the best in my price range and good phones overall. BUT, the OnePlus phones have glaring flaws. Bad selfie camera with no AF as well as bad video quality/stabilization on front and back cameras. This annoys me so much because other than that they seem like amazing phones. The S24+ I think is very solid and probably is the best value on the current entire market at $420-530 for the 512gb model. BUT, compared to iPhones, the video quality seems limiting.
Since I was able to find a 512gb iPhone 15 Pro Max for $600, I just bought that for now. I think it's a great value considering how good of a phone it is all around, as well as having great cameras that are still on par with current android flagships and is better than them when it comes to video. AND, on top of that it actually works well through the cameras on social media apps too. Since Apple typically supports phones for 7ish years I'm hoping that in that time the Android can start to #1 Compete with Apple's cameras on all fronts, especially video & #2 Solve the social media integration issue somehow; And then maybe I'll get one then and sell the 15.
Does anyone know what the deal is with those 2 problems I mentioned? Like why aren't they being addressed or fixed? In my eyes, those things are one some of the biggest reasons as to why so many people around my age and younger have and will continue to use iPhones over Androids. It seems to me like if Android phone companies focused on fixing those issues, they could skyrocket in market share but if they don't, nothing will change. I feel like it's been like this for maybe 10 years atp.
Am I incorrect about anything? What do yall think about all this? Am I overlooking any niche Android out there?
TLDR: iPhones have had better cameras overall (mainly because of the large gap in video) than Androids since forever... Why? Do you think this will change any time soon? Am I incorrect about anything?
So I amm in the market to upgrade my phone this year, and i am thinking of leaving the apple walled garden for an android, specifically either the google pixel 10 or the Samsung s25+ or ultra (haven’t decided yet) but im on the fence of which one to get. I haven't been in the android ecosystem for around a decade, so a lot has changed since I last remember. A Samsung was my first phone so I have memories with them. When it comes to google, I use google stuff every day from docs, sheets, YouTube, and gmail, and the whole suite of google apps. What do you like about your chosen device (google or Samsung)? Why do you like it/like that aspect of it? Thanks in advance.
EDIT - the post mightve already had its time in trajectory, but here is what I look for in a phone: i'm looking for good camera because i like to take photos and video for both personal use and putting on places like instagram, a good processor because I don't want things to be slow or chug, and battery that can last a day, maybe more. because I am a heavy user with lots of screentime (maybe too much lol)
Hi, recently moved to Google Pixel 4 months ago getting the Pixel 9 Pro XL, had nothing but constant issues with the phone and after getting a replacement also having the same issues, was then given a Pixel 10 Pro XL and everything was fine until the recent update, now losing the ability to make and receive calls, texts and access the internet away from home Wifi.
Before Google I had 15 years of Apple, most recent being the iPhone 13 Pro Max, never had an issue, I honestly can't justify buying a new iPhone when prices are $1900 and up.
Debating whether to go back to Apple, or try Samsung, perhaps OPPO, but not wanting Google models.
Looking for Suggestions from people more in the know about smart phone tech, after something large, I have large hands and small phones cramp my hands, good battery life, quick charging if possible, decent camera, 120hz, open to suggestions.
Thank You.
I’m not usually a coupon person, but these 20% off codes on AliExpress are seriously too good to pass up. Currently trying out the a16 5g and within best buy return windows still. Find this phone very laggy.
Would you recommend the a16 5g or motorola g power 5g 2024 or 2025. And why?
Looking for best battery, cameras and overall performance.
I have a budget of $4000. I want a very powerful cell phone, with very good features, camera, security, absolutely everything. I've been looking at options like Samsung s25 ultra, iPhone 17 Pro Max, I've been Android all my life, I don't know. I have also seen red magic 11 pro, what do you recommend based on your personal experience with those cell phones? Why should I take that one and why not the other one? Thank you.
It started when Apple ran marketing campaigns emphasizing privacy around 2019. That was the first time I became intrigued by Apple mainly because I was constantly bombarded with targeted ads daily. I slowly transitioned into the ecosystem starting with the base iPhone 12. My first impression was how much cleaner the apps looked and functioned. Contrary to what people say, I didn’t find it simple at first and was confused how the OS worked but determined to learn
That year turned out to be expensive because I was fully committed to switching over. I bought an M1 MacBook Air, HomePod mini, Apple Watch, AirPods Pro, iPad Pro and an Apple TV streaming box. I also moved all my files from Google Drive to iCloud. I only use Gmail for YouTube while my main email is now @icloud.com. This reddit account was signed-in through Apple ID for enhanced privacy and I do it everytime a 3rd-party app gives that option
Nowadays, I don’t feel like I’m missing out on tech from Android or Windows because Apple has become my standard. The biggest unexpected advantages for me is how seamlessly and quickly the hardware and software sync with each other. I also appreciate how convenient the clipboard feature is, it lets me copy files, text or images from one device and paste them on another
Do I think Siri is dumb? Yes. Do I regret switching over? Maybe during the first year but it takes time to realize and appreciate what Apple is going for. I originally switched for strong privacy but ended up loving the tight integration and long OS support. It’s all one account one cloud and one design language
