Hello

A major bug was found that prevented the player to move on Basinshire gym.

This is the new version that fixes this: Chapter 4.1.2

Or, you can download just a small patch from here: Patch
To update this, extract the files present in the link and copy/paste them in the game's folder, replacing the existing ones.

no that did not help me the radio is kind of wierd i can't really tell what it saying it is telling some names but i really tell what they are saying
 
no worries. These are the names that it's saying: Lance, Steven, Cynthia. I hope this helps, but if not, feel free to ask another hint.
 
when i try and open the game, i receive the following error:

Script 'SpriteWindow' line 218: Runtime Error ocurred.
filename is nil

up until now i have been able to play the game with no issues, and i am just outside rest point after finding and saving the young boy.

That's strange. One question, if you go to where your save file is, what files do you have there? Do you have one that say only Game.rxdata?
If you have others that have a number in front, those are the backups and you can recover with one them, you just need to delete the number, so it has the name Game.rxdata. But change the one with the highest number (it would be the more recent version)

i had one that was just named game.rxdata, but i also tried renaming my most recent backup as you suggested, and i got the same error.

Ok, I found the issue. There is an icon for a Pokemon missing, in this case Dartrix. So to fix yours, download the icon from this link: Icon
Then, on your game's folder go to Graphics -> Icons and paste this icon there. This should solve the problem.
Sorry for it and I'll create a new release to fix this problem
 
Hello all

I just released a new version, 4.1.3, to fix the following issues:
  • Fix some 'floating' objects
  • Fix some typos and sentences
  • Change Thorin's battle music
  • Change Erin's sprite
  • Fix a bug when having Dartrix on the party

The link in the main post has been updated with this new version.

Furthermore, just to leave here some of the plans for Chapter 5, though this is only the initial list of things that will be done:
  • Remove the main character selection at the start. Since it will die, then it won't be available anymore
  • The radioactivity will no longer cause a game over, but instead, the player will faint, like losing a battle
  • Full screen will be present
  • The battle backgrounds will be replaced. All of them
  • More fixes regarding typos and sentences. Hope I can improve the writting
  • Also going to do a thorough playthrough to check again the story and look for plot holes. I have it aligned on the direction to take, but as the game is being developed, new ramifications and complexity is added, so I need to do a step back and check if it's not causing these loop holes.

that fixed everything, thanks so much! i have no idea how that got deleted, but thank you for being patient and helping me figure it out!
 
No problem at all. I'm glad it solved it. It wasn't your fault. It was mine. The icon wasn't there for a long time now, but I never noticed it
 
Hello all

Just to give a small update on Chapter's 5 progression. It's going well and a lot of new content has been added already. Also, there has been a lot of fixes too on the previous chapters. However, it will take a while for its release, though I'm hoping to do it still this year.

As a small preview, I give you here one of the new betamons that will be present in Chapter 5, being one of my favorites:

  • Mapping: 80%
  • Characters: 90%
  • Sidequests: 65%
  • Scripts: 75%
  • Wiki: 0%
I believe it can be finished for beta testing during November, and most likely released in December.
