Thanks for the swift fix! Is there any specific place where we should post inconsistencies, or bugs, or is this place enough? Asking as I found a second one. In Steeplin City, in the house/apartment south of the restaurants, the book "Renowned Thieves" seems to direct to a different book in-game about the origin of the name of the region that I remember reading in the first gym.
You can post them here or the discord, the discord would be easier for me to keep track of things. But here is fine too

Changes/Fixes:
  • 2nd Gyms Healing Basin now only heals 1 time in Divulgence Mode
  • Changed a move on Pierres Team in OTR and Divulgence Mode
  • Fixed some tile priority and passability issues in Highland Plaza
  • Jukebox now has more space, the text should be a bit more readable now
  • Edited the Pokeball battle transition to be an Ultraball instead
  • Edited Bradleys OW to better fit his Trainer Sprite
  • Dads Maushold lost Bullet Seed (replaced with Encore)
- This should give people a bit of a chance with Rock Types
  • Castform event now triggers a lot more easily
  • Eggs created by breeding regional forms will now give that form as an egg, IF the mother has that form
  • Fixed Trainer Assistant allowing you to lvl up eggs
  • Got rid of the 'You opened the chest' message when opening a chest

Also how do you evolve the milcery? Giving it the candy to hold doesn't do it so I am stumped.
 
You can't evolve it yet. You'll need a baking mixer for that.

Also I don't know why it flags the system. You're the second person telling me this. Odd.

You know, back when the first demo was released a long time ago, I didn't like it all that much. I think I even bickered with you (the dev) back then. So let me say now, this is really good stuff and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Kudos.
 
Finished the game. The map, areas, and general feel of the story/lore is really well done, and I'm excited to see where this will be going!
I will say I worry a little about the balancing with these special Pokemon-related items, especially obtaining them so early, but I presume these things will be balanced over time and as more gameplay is added to see their impact!
That aside, some awesome regional variants, and the difficulty is nice enough! Props!

I think I sorta remember bickering with someone when the original demo released. Maybe it was you! I dont remember exactly sorry.

Most of these pokemon exclusive items arent that strong in all honesty, they are just there to help Pokemon a bit.
I guess the Solrock and Lunatone ones are the strongest ones, but Im keeping those mons away for a bit.
 
ive had a lovely time with this game, and i figured i should give some feedback!

first of all, the artwork is incredible. i gasped the first time i opened the map. the overworld has a super seamless mix of both custom assets and the original gen 4 assets, and it was immediately clear that a lot of care was put into the game to make everything blend together so nicely. the new ui stuff is unique and fresh without feeling overwhelming. the new characters all look awesome, and i love being able to choose from more than just 2 designs for the protag.

when i play fangames im also a huge sucker for flavor text, and this game delivered that immediately. it makes the world feel detailed and alive, and the little added commentary from the protag makes them feel more like a person and less like a plot device. the inclusion of a text message history in the phone is a super cute idea and its a really nice way to give some quick character exposition.

difficulty wise, divulgence mode is tricky without relying you to study teams ahead of time or have a significant knowledge of competitive play. as someone who has essentially been playing pokemon my whole life, but has little to no knowledge of competitive play, this was a huge bonus for me! it was slightly challenging without being frustrating.

as for criticisms, i really dont have many at all, and they mostly boil down to small qol changes.
first of all, bradleys text is a bit hard to read. i understand youre trying to convey that he has a heavy accent, but i think the same effect could be achieved with less work.
ive noticed a little bit of a stuttering effect when i transition areas in the overworld, like when going up the stairs to get to the lab, but theres every possibility this could be a performance issue on my end.

I'll try to see if i can slightly tone down Bradleys dialogue a bit (I wish I had kept a non accent version of his dialogue for cases like this but oh well)


The stuttering effect is because Im teleporting you from map to map, as I didnt want to use map transitions for both lighting and also to make sure the game doesnt lag. This sadly does cause the stuttering, I dont think theres any good fix for this and I apologize.
 
Updated the game to v1.0.3


  • Added Wurmple to Route 1 (replaced Silcoon and Cascoon)
  • Phenomenon Encounters [Shaking Grass, Shaking Flowers, Bird Shadow, Dust Particles, Water Bubbles]
+ Defeating these Pokémon gives boosted EXP
+ They x4 the shiny rate
+ They have 1/20th chance of having their HA
+ They have a 1/100th chance of having a random egg move
  • Added a Grass and Flower Patch overlay when walking on tall grass or flowers
  • Added OW encounters to Greenwood Grove to make it feel more alive
  • Chest Opening Sound Effect
  • Some Pokemons Evo methods got tweaked:
Woobat (Happiness + Lvl 20)
Mime Jr/Galarian Mime Jr (Mimic + Lvl 18)
Bonsly (Mimic + Lvl 23)
Chingling (Happiness Night + Lvl 15)
Canorri Chingling (Happiness Day + Lvl 15)
  • Shadow Field was slightly buffed against the Player
  • Added a bunch of new Carbink forms, they will all have a rare chance of holding Fractured Type Gems
  • Buffed/Changed these Pokémon:

+ This ability got reworked:
+ Moody, it now doubles the Nature related boosts
The old effect will be repurposed for either an item, a move or a different ability

Hey just as a heads up, the Kindler north of the rest spot in Greenwood Grove has an issue with the battle format where the player's left pokemon can't target the kindler's rightmost pokemon even if his other two are fainted.
This was fine for me, but it may pose an issue if someone enters that battle with only one pokemon and it defaults to the left slot, or if the player arrives with 2 pokemon and the right slot pokemon faints ^^

So far having a blast and I'll edit this message if I encounter any more issues or have relevant/useful feedback

E1: if a pokemon in the leftmost slot on the opponent's side gets Frostbitten and is the last pokemon to faint(? Could also just generally happen if no pokemon fills the slot? Happened in a wild battle so unsure) it re-appears after fainting to take the frostbite damage tick. Seems to cause no other issues but mentioning in case ^^

started playing in v1.0.1 got to the blimp ride in steeplin city and fought the cool trainer duo, wasn't prepared and lost, trained a bit and decided to try again only to go through the cut scene and when you actually board the blimp everything is a black screen, you can still open your menu but nothing is visible, attempted updating to latest version did not fix the issue, further investigation lead me to discovering that the area where you talk to Gabriella and her band members just isn't visible but you can navigate to the cargo area albeit blindly.
