@Alex313031 Is it possible to introduce Windows native notifications instead of built-in notifications? Chrome uses Windows native notifications.

bro chill we understood already you dont need mv2, there are lots of users who needs it and those who might not.

First off, he's not your ''bro'', so you respect and talk to others like an adult when you are not hidden in your room.

Second, he asked another user not you but didn't get any response about the necessity of MV2

Third, the only spammer and stupid clown over here it's you #931 (comment) so you can unsubscribe if you hate receiving notifications
you and others like you are permanently bothering @Alex313031 to push him to release updates more often as if he had no life away from this browser and I also get your useless notifications to my gmail account

Last, Go and use your other favorite browsers if you don't feel happy here or go annoying other clowns on the reddit page because they speak the same language and are the same age of you

Yeah. I plan to force enable MV2 support for as long as possible, and then when they finally remove the code for it, I plan to revert it and continue MV2 support.

Duplicate. Yes, I will keep MV2 support. See > #677

Please four of you search first, and then move on to other things.

Theoretically, I wonder if it is possible to add HTML Filtering1 and replace2 to Thorium? To equalize the capabilities of Manifest V2 with Firefox:

These may be the wrong links from the Mozilla documentation.

Perhaps there is already another fork that added it and you can take the code from them (so as not to add it from scratch).

@Scarlaid

For a browser that is 7-8 months old, it still feel snappy, works well and lightweight
Alex did an excellent job keeping this browser relevant for as long as it can be

Your works mean a lot, thank you and have a good day 💝

Are you shooting for an end of this month release?
(Dont answer this one if ppl usually get mad when you dont fulfill guesstimations).

When dealing with ppl, you probably dont need the extra headache.

Since MV3 became the default, chromium has gotten rid of MV2 upstream

I don't have any extension that stopped working (including the ones with malware win32ss/supermium#1585) so the MV2 support is not much relevant for my use case

unlike the 360chrome browser for XP that requires some monkey scripts to get the extensions to work or web pages to load, this is not necessary for Thorium or Supermium

YOU ≠ EVERYONE,Thorium not for you ONLY.

NOBODY cares which extension is capable, people cares which is uncapable.

weskerty commented on Oct 24, 2025

@weskerty

I see everyone here arguing as if it were a matter of importance which extension is used by whom.
Let's turn our attention to something much more important, this problem:

that's a really old node, it'd be weird that they wouldn't have found a fix for that in the 10+ years that page exists

Right, it's still happens now, it's a bit difficult to be made portable sadly

The portability issues have been known for more than a decade.
