This post is now being circulated by some anti-trans voices in Japan who ignore the second half of Reem Alsalem’s statement — the part where she clearly says that no one should be discriminated against on any grounds including gender identity and sexual orientation.
They are using it to make it seem as if CEDAW supports trans exclusion, which is entirely false.
