Hello! I was requested to make a demibxy flag and figured I’d also make a demigxrl flag!
Gradient gender
I am coining this term! Gradient gender: A gender(s) that are vague, and feel like a point on a gradient where any given point could be a gender (if genders are represented by the colors on said gradient) and can be vaguely identified but never pinpointed at an exact/precise “color” [gender identity].
Additionally this gender(s) may be blended so much into other “colors” [feelings of gender] or feelings of confusion/other feelings that make one’s gender hard to identify, that it cannot be pinpointed.
Lastly these gender(s) could be so diluted/blended that they are like the in-between stages on a gradient where one color flows into another, and it is impossible to decide where either color stops or starts or the point at which they are both completely blended.
Can be used with other prefixes/suffixes and gender identifiers.
Gradient female or male : A gender that is vaguely female or male but can’t be pinpointed due to being represented in a sense that it is on a gradient
Gradientfluid : A gender(s) that are fluid but shift between vaguely unidentifiable points on a gradient. Some of these genders may be identifiable and some may not.
Gradientflux : A gender(s) that flux between vaguely identifiable points on a gradient. Again some of these may be identifiable and some may not
Demigradient : A gender(s) in which certain parts (or certain genders) are able to be precisely identified but others are represented by being vague points on a gradient
Neurogradient : A gender(s) that are represented by being on a gradient due to neurodivergency. May also be used with specific neurotypes (For example Autismgradient or autigradient for autistic people, dissociagradient for people who are dissociative, etc etc)
These may also be used with several prefixes/suffixes and gender identifiers, as many as one wishes.
For me, I would identify as a gradientflux boy , or agender flux gradient male . I feel like I flux between male and agender but it feels like trying to pinpoint a spot on a gradient and is too hard to identify beyond a vague point. I feel like my gender is at some point where the colors are blended but you can’t tell where one stops and the other starts, for example blending gray (agender) and blue (male) together, and picking a spot near the point where they are mostly blended together. The point shifts and it’s often hard to identify how much gray (agender) and how much blue (male) I am. I would also be neurogradient as these feelings are caused at least in part by neurogivergency.
Note: Gradient gender can be considered binary or non binary / genderqueer depending upon individual, and may also be considered a nuerogender but does not have to be, again based upon the individual.
There’s no such thing as a nonbinary clothing style.
A person who loves to wear pastel colors can be nonbinary.
A person who loves to wear all black outfits can be nonbinary.
A person can feel most comfortable in dresses and be nonbinary.
A person can hate wearing dresses and be nonbinary.
Clothing style is a personal preference, it’s simply a matter of taste (and certain circumstances you can’t influence, like dress-codes at school, rules by your parents you need to stick to or the amount of money you can spend on clothes).
The way you dress can’t make you any less nonbinary and make you “fake nonbinary”. You are nonbinary and therefore any way you dress is a nonbinary way to dress!
lost message!!! hey so someone’s sent in an anon message that contains the sentence “Nonbinary, but also kinda girl, as long as you think of me as anything but a boy.”
this message is apparently 2/2 but the first part hasn’t come through.
if this is u can u plz resend ur message!!!

Hey, could I get a pronoun validation thing with They/Them and She/Her? I go by Sparrow, I really likes sea otters, my favorite color is purple, and I am very oblivious when it comes to sports 😆 (And if you could also do one with them separately that would be cool, but if you can’t or don’t want to then don’t worry about it. No pressure!)
this is sparrow - she has such a cool name omg im so jealous of them!! they really like sea otters and her favourite colour is purple!! she’s not really into sports which means i’d probably get on really well with them!!

Hey, I'm kinda confused about my gender bc I recently came out as bi to all my friends and now I'm examine my gender more closely. I'm AFAB but I've always presented very masculine. I'm uncomfortable with my boobs (they just don't feel like a part of me), but I'm pretty flat so it doesn't really make a difference when I wear a sports bra. Currently I id as a demiboy, but I'm not really planning on coming out. Is demiboy the correct label? Or should I be using something else?
the definition of demiboy is feeling partially male and partially something else (agender, female, third gender etc). so if that definition fits u then yes ur a demiboy!!
hello! i’ve been questioning my gender and i think i’m either a demigirl or nonbinary. i hate my chest but i love curvy legs, don’t like makeup and long hair but love discreet jewelry, things like that. i don’t feel like i’m a boy, though. i’m feeling kind of lost... please help!! tysm!
if u think ur a demigirl or nonbinary, u probably are!! ur presentation doesn’t always dictate ur gender so the stuff u’ve told me doesn’t rly help me to help u with ur gender if that makes sense? gender is about how u FEEL, like u’ve said u don’t feel like a boy!!
feel free to ask more questions or have a look thru our nonbinary and demigirl tags to see if those terms fit!!

I'm afab and I've been trying to figure out a good word for my gender since I heard that was a thing I could do. I know I have male dysphoria in the chest area and social dysphoria, but I like they/them (and nonconventional pronouns), as well as he/him and I feel like all in all my gender is mostly feminine in presentation but I hate she/her pronouns. I feel agender is the right with me - maybe even demiagender - but I wonder if that's actually the word I'm looking for?
if agender is what feels right to u then yes that’s the right word!! pronouns don’t always have to line up directly with gender or gender presentation, and chest dysphoria can be experienced by nonbinary ppl without them being male aligned!!

Can I have a pronoun affirmation thingy with her, they and him? I just want to see what fits best. My favorite color is purple, I go by Elliot in some places, I love Harry Potter, and I draw a lot.
this is elliot, he’s a sweetie!! they really like harry potter and her fave colour is purple!! he also likes to draw!!
Hi so this is the first time I have asked anything on here and I hope you don't mind. I plan on coming out to one of my best friends as a Demiboy, but I'm not exactly sure on how to explain it to her. I mean on one hand I am a guy, but on the other I'm also mote nb/agender. Do you have any better ways to explain it to her? Or maybe even just a helpful site?
i think u’ve explained it p well, u could say ‘not quite a boy’ as well!! as long as u explain how u wanna b referred to, that’s the important part - pronouns, gendered terms etc.
AMAB DEMIBOYS AND
AFAB DEMIGIRLS ARE NONBINARY

Hi! I'm demiflux AFAB and I'm kinda stuck. I'm always very lightly female, only just noticeable and my male can fluctuate a lot. My friend keeps asking why I don't just say I'm a girl since I am always lowkey female and I kinda agree but it's hard because on the days where I'm really male dysphoria can really get the best of me. Like I don't know whether it would be better for me to transition or not. Do you know anyways of dealing with this whole mess?
if ur male aspects and fluctuation are causing u discomfort n dysphoria then maybe transitioning would be good for u!! u can transition without completely rejecting the part of u that is always lightly female!! gender is complex n transition sadly follows the binary p heavily so i think it’s a case of making the best of a bad situation.
don’t feel forced to call urself a girl bc part of u is always female - i’m a demigirl so part of me is always a bit female n i HATE being called a girl!! it’s totally fine <3

I've just been thinking about gender lately because all of a sudden I've started to use the term "gay" for how I feel about my attraction to men, despite being a (Queer) cis girl--and it feels right? After thinking about it, i guess I've realized I've never fought against being a girl because I never felt I wasn't one. But at the same time, I've never felt like I WAS a girl. And I don't know if I'm just overthinking it. Or if it's really something. But demigirl as an identity caught my eye...
i think u should defo look into demigirl!! also careful using gay to describe ur attraction to men, some ppl will call u out of it, especially if they don’t know ur queer. i get what u mean tho, my attraction to my boyfriend is gay bc it’s not straight, if that makes sense heh

Can I still id as transgender if I’m a Demigirl and Afab?
Yep! You don’t identify as the gender you were assigned at birth! You don’t have to, but you absolutely can~ Chris
How to have a binder without your parents knowing:
Open a private window on your browser and pick the binder you want online, add it to the website’s shopping cart and start to check out until you find how much it costs with shipping and tax. If you don’t have access to a computer at home, use one at the library. Save up enough money to buy the binder. Make sure you have a few dollars extra for the extra fee of buying a prepaid card, which can be around $4. If you have a debit card but don’t want your parents to see the purchase, withdraw money from your account and use the cash to buy a prepaid card. You can say you just wanted to have some cash in case you needed it.Go into a store and buy a prepaid VISA gift card. They have them at lots of stores , even CVS. (You can also ask a friend to do this if you can’t walk/bike/get a ride to a store on your own) Prepaid credit cards require you to be 18 to open an account, but you can purchase prepaid gift cards at a grocery or other store at any age and use them wherever Visa, MasterCard or AMEX are accepted. These gift cards, which aren’t reloadable, usually carry an activation fee along the lines of $4.95 for every $50 increment. You usually find them in denominations of $25, $50 or $100. Buy the binder online. Put the name on the card as “Visa” in the payment section of the website. Clear your internet history if you’re at home and didn’t use a private browser window. Make sure the invoice is sent to an email that only you have access to, or a disposable email (just google “disposable email”) Figure out where you’re going to get it shipped to. Ship it to a consenting friend’s house or an accepting relative, if you have one. Ship it to your own house and try to get the mail yourself. If the parent gets there first, say you bought a present for someone. You may have to go to a store in person and buy a physical present to then gift to cover up that it wasn’t in the package. You could also ask a friend to lend you a shirt, tell your parents you won a shirt in a giveaway or bought it but decided to give it to a friend as a present, then give the shirt back to the friend. Get a PO box if you’re going to be getting things in the mail frequently. If you buy an Underworks binder on Amazon you can pick it up at an Amazon Locker at Whole Foods or a different location. Hide it when you get it.Handwash it when it gets dirty. Or start doing your laundry yourself. Wring it out and hang it to dry in the back of your closet.Bring it in a bag with you to change into it when you’re out of the house. (Or ask a friend with a debit/credit/gift card to buy you a binder if you give them the cash.)
If your parents are really strict about watching your bank account, take out a couple dollars here and there when you buy something from stores that have a “Cash Back” option. No more than $10-$15 at most, though many places offer $5 as an option. This will make it show up on your bank statement as a purchase at that store, rather than a withdrawal.
How to Come to Terms With Your Gender / Trans-ness (masterpost) Coming out isn’t just a process that involves others / the folks around you, it is also taking time to realize and recognize who you are. The most important person you will come out to is yourself. This is difficult – it involves self care, self love, and self awareness. Basically, you reach a point where you are able (or in the process of) of accepting you as you . It takes time. No one said it was easy. And that’s okay.

Do you have any advise or something like that?hey there!!it sucks that dutch doesn’t have gender neutral pronouns but as a linguist i completely get it. if u prefer they/them in english then perhaps ur nonbinary!! n if u stick with the feminine pronouns in dutch then that could mean ur some form of feminine nonbinary like demigirl, lunarian or genderfae! demigenderfriendsAnonymous asked:Are Non-Binary women and demigirls the same? And if not, how are they different?hey there!!nonbinary girls r not the same as demigirls but there can be some overlap!! someone can ID as both a demigirl and a nonbinary girl!! nonbinary girl can either be used as a standalone identity for someone who feels nonbinary with a connection to being female in any way, or as an umbrella term for femme nonbinary identities such as demigirl, genderfae, lunarian etc. it is down to the individual person whether or not they would use nonbinary girl as an umbrella term for themselves. I've always been a tomboy and i feel uncomfortable about some aspects of femininity and completely fine with others, so i feel dysphoric about my boobs (I'm a D cup) but I'm okay with the rest of my body, i prefer it when I dress masc and when my face looks masc, short hair and hate make up but I have never had a problem with she/her pronouns. I don't feel like fully demigirl or fully demiboy, there something in between? hey thereu could use a more general term such as genderqueer or nonbinary! it sounds like ur on the more masc end of things (if u feel comfortable identifying with the masc-femme gender binary) so u might b closer to a demiboy, even using she/her pronouns!! pronouns don’t always match perfectly with gender identity. in terms of an in between for demigirl and demiboy, the closest i can think of is ambonec (or demiambonec) which is feeling simultaneously female, male and genderless. demiambonec is this but only partially, as with any demigender identity. there’s also nanoboy/nanogirl which is where ur a tiny part male/female but mostly something else!!hope this helps - mod daria#anonymous#questioning#afab#dysphoria#demigirl#demiboy#nanogirl#nanoboy#ambonec#demiambonec#genderqueer#nonbinary#she/her#pronouns#answered#mod daria6

How would you describe dysphoria in this situation?hey theresorry about the not so great reaction from ur friends, hopefully with time they’ll see that ur not deciding anything n this is who u are. in terms of describing dysphoria, the NHS in england describes it as “a condition where a person experiences discomfort or distress because there’s a mismatch between their biological sex and gender identity.” u could explain to ur friends that the way ur hips/chest currently are doesn’t make u feel comfortable in urself and ur gender identity specifically n u want to change them to feel more like ur gender.hope this helps - mod daria#anonymous#demiboy#coming out#dyphoria#religion#answered#mod daria1
