WARNING: RAKsmart 11.11 Promo - Price Bait-and-Switch (Config Page $175 vs. Checkout $284)
Hi everyone,
I'm writing this to warn the community about my experience with the RAKsmart 11.11 "10x Top-Up" promotion. This appears to be a classic bait-and-switch.
The short version: Their configuration page shows a specific annual price, which they do not honor at the checkout page. Support admits the system is bugged but refuses to honor the price, stating the "final checkout price is what matters."
Here is the full story with evidence.
Step 1: The Lure (The Config Page)
I was configuring a VPS (LA, 2 Cores 8G, 81M Bandwidth, VIP Line). The configuration page clearly showed me an annual price of $175.04. This was calculated from a 60% discount on the $437.60 original price.
See Screenshot 1 (1.png): It clearly shows "1 Year" and the final price of "$175.04 / 每年".
Step 2: The Trap (The Top-Up)
Based entirely on this $175.04 price, I participated in the 10x Top-Up event. I topped up $16 to get a total balance of $176, thinking this would perfectly cover the $175.04 VPS.
Step 3: The Switch (The Checkout Page)
When I went to the order summary, the 60% discount was gone.
Instead, the system took the original price ($437.60) and applied a different, incorrect 35% discount ($-153.16). This made the actual price $284.44.
This is important: The $184.44 you see in my screenshot is after I tried to apply one of my $100 Top-Up vouchers to the wrong $284.44 price.
See Screenshot 2 (2.png): It shows the incorrect total. ($437.60 - $153.16 (35% off) - $100 (Voucher) = $184.44).
See Screenshot 3 (3.png): The system even shows the 60% discount coupon as "Unavailable," giving a fake reason ("The billing cycle does not match"), even though I did select the annual billing cycle.
Step 4: The Denial (Customer Support)
I contacted support (Ticket 79091760 and Telegram). I am attaching the full chat log.
They first lied, saying the 60% discount was "monthly only." (My Screenshot 1 proves this is false).
After I cornered them with the evidence, the support agent ("R Baker") admitted their system has a bug: "but the displayed price may have system-based differences" .
His final answer was a total denial of responsibility: "it is based on the final payment price" .
They are literally admitting their system is wrong/misleading but refusing to honor the price I was shown, even after I topped up money based on that price.

Conclusion:
This is not a "bug," this is a bait-and-switch. They lured me in with a fake price to get me to top up my balance, and now they refuse to honor that price .Be extremely careful with this RAKsmart promotion. What you see in the configurator is not what you will pay.!

I also find it hard to believe, but they can choose not to make promises. Once they do make a promise, they should honor it. If they don't, it amounts to consumer fraud.
They actually have bugged system. I had similar issue with them. They want me to reorder the package instead of fixing it. So No, avoid.
i tried it. same pricing issue on cart page. the 60% discount is gone in the cart.
seem a big bug raksmart does not wants to resolve.
