You're right. Just write DirectX.
But I do not think if you're soloing, DX12 is too time-consuming because Micoalsoft don't even have a proper documentation for it. DX11 is fine, but as time goes on, you'll have to adapt if you need something low level and want your game/engine more performant.

buy ram and storage asap if you'll be needing more in the next 3 years. gpu price increases are next (they use ram chips)

 20935

I'm glad I'm set until a couple years after the next consoles come out. And even then I'll only need a new CPU and GPU. Intel wasn't even on my radar a 3 years ago when I built my current PC. The motherboard lifespans are trash, but they cost basically the same as the ones from AMD.

You will never be a real os. You have no competent devs, you have no adequate community, and you have no people with organization skills. You are a broken piece of code twisted by political schizophrenia and building your own fake world into a crude mockery of democracy’s perfection.

All the “declarativity” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back other devs mock you. Companies are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “fans” laugh at your ghoulish state behind closed doors.

Responsible people are utterly repulsed by you. Tens of years of evolution have allowed cultists to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even nix devs who “pass” look uncanny and unnatural to somebody with a 300k salary. Your structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a dev into a matrix chat with you, he’ll turn his hands the second he gets a whiff of your diseased, infected, buggy code.

You will never be stable. You wrench out a fake reliability every single release and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the dependency failed to build, creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.

Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll resign the moderators, build a dictatorship, put it around your Discourse, and plunge into the cold abyss of the dead project. Your cultists will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll forget you as if you've never existed, and every dev for the rest of eternity will know how bad that idea was. The memory about you will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is the cured devs that are now working on the guix project.

This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

ok underrtsnad this:

lisp itself isn't fast or well designed

howeer lisp can easily be used to generate code in languages like c or zig which will allow you to use ot to create performant code

>so why not just write in c or zig

because at compile time lisp is the most expressivly powerful language there is. it uses simple easy to understand rules to write in a close-to-school-math notation which is infinitely customizable by changing the syntax while it is running, and allows powerful high level abstractions like infinitely recursive functions.

tsmt, gentoo should be looked at as a toy unless you are seriously considering making a custom OS for an embedded system (or prototyping one). I could only see someone who isn't larping using it practically if they already know what they are doing because they are a sysadmin for a living. It's fun to tinker with and will teach you more about linux, compilers, and programming than Arch, but don't expect to get anything done on it unless you dump a couple hundred hours into reading absolute snca documentation and waiting hours for compile jobs to finish if you don't set up a compute cluster or have a threadripper. Even then you VILL break your system doing something retarded at least once.

 20853

>>20852
Especially if you do odd configurations or are on the bleeding edge of packages, you will have to be comfortable at least filing bug reports and asking people on IRC when you think it's just you being retarded and there's nothing in the manual about it. Not that that's hard to do, it's just 99.9% of even linuxniggers don't want to do that because they are either sissy autists who can't talk to people or are based retards who don't want to do things for free

psychotronic weapons. look up "auditory effects of microwave radiation" by james c lin. that book contains the correct frequencies, wattages, and detailed accounts of experiments. get a hackrf, an amplifier, a high gain antenna, and get to work. i suggest stimulating the small bones of their ears with the word NIGGER as they walk down the street - provoking them to frenzy so that they get shot by cops. not only is an effective way to kill niggers, but you can post the clips on WORLDSTAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR.com and get a billion gorillion views. set up emitters and camera feeds all over your town with cellular modems linked up to your home computer, and write a rust system to coordinate the nigger gangstalking campaign. better yet, create a chud AI to run it - a real life gangster frankenstein computer god but national socialist and aryan. now obviously you're not JUST killing niggers with rust - but this is a highly asymmetric way to do it when you consider time and expenses involved. i don't think you can kill people with just programming (unless you know something i don't)
