It is better to download samples from telegram... moreYou're right, it's actually crazy how little effort they put into the camera section of their reviews nowadays. Not only is their new place a massive downgrade from their previous work site when it comes to testing out real-life camera performance (The balcony scene and the hotel scene were excellent to see phones' handling of moire and natural detail, respectively), but they completely abandoned the studio comparison roughly at the same time, AND they now put far less effort into exploring different modes and shooting options. A complete omission of Master Mode on Find X9 Pro and X8 Ultra, and Zeiss Color + film preset modes on X300 Pro/X200 Ultra reviews aren't excusable in any way.
The only thing that is keeping me from their camera reviews is the fact that they provide full-res samples without locking them behind any kind of paywall. It's a bit embarrassing that even random Twitter posts made by owners of Find X9 Pro point out a LOT of stuff that this review misses out on (e.g. X-PAN mode uses colour rendition that is closer to Master Mode than to auto mode, 200MP mode is specifically optimised for human faces, Oppo's auto night mode is less trigger-prone than that of Xiaomi and Vivo's, the entire existence of action mode, etc).

You can keep the phone if you praise it on YouTube and so on. One guy buyed it by himself and did a review. Phone is average at best. With big problems like magenta sky or focus problems

Hm, I kind of do not like the pictures hier. Nothing special about them, just mediocre everything. I lot of the pictures with the 23mm have low contrast, white balance too cool, 70mm kind of shaky and not sharp.

It is better to download samples from telegram and see for yourself, or wait for someone from dpreview to post samples. Since I am on the lookout for a new smartphone too, I might even join through Jeramaine's lens youtube channel to get access to raw files for a while.
What's disappointing is that Gsmarena used to be way more extensive about specific software features.

LV426, 16 hours agoThis year phones are terrible, im waiting one nore year and stuck on my Xia 13 pro.Why not? There's obviously no reason to replace your existing phone when it functions as intended, and can't be considered "obsolete".

3 years apart, it may not seem like it but the chipset and tuning would've improved significantly
If you didn't go to this festival and capture the exact same sets with your 13 Pro, it'd be impossible to say no improvement

while i appreciated that you guys put more pictures but why you guys didn't use different filters, Xpan and other features that can showcase camera ability... i feel like this is lazy approach to what this trip should've been about rather than just a point and shoot camera :/

Problem is, "something" got "worse".
I expect that software updates will fix that is wrong with these samples but it should be expected that these top end phones would already be sold with polished software that is not worse than the previews model.
There's really no excuse.

Whatever it is, I just hope they release it globally and that it's not too expensive. Before switching to iOS, I want to try an Oppo; it's the only Android brand I haven't tried yet. Well, I've had almost every OnePlus, but it's pretty much the same experience except for the cameras.

I have my doubts, but I'd be more than happy to be proven otherwise. The X200 Ultra isn't 'better' than every other flagship - it's just different. Ok, the 1/1.28" OIS-enabled ultrawide is the best ultrawide on any phone, but that's because it has to cover not just to 23mm but also to 35mm. It was necessary to avoid 34mm shots looking fuzzy and soft.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, it's surpassed the iPhone, Samsung, and Pixel in photography, oh, and Vivo too. I've seen thousands of YouTubers and they all rave about the camera on this device.

These photos are excellent!!! Not just because of the phone, but also the photographer, but even more so, the scenery. I think I'll go to Mexico next year to celebrate my birthday, since I was born very close to the Day of the Dead.
