- Do you possess a diagnostic tool that can display the stored codes?Have you inspected for any worn or binding front steering and suspension joints? Are the front tire pressures at the correct levels?
I don't have a diagnostic tool. I checked and didn't notice anything worn. I will need to check the tire pressure.
Thank you,
Check the electronic power steering rack and pinion/module/motor. Measure the yellow/red wire for constant battery voltage, and check the green wire for voltage when the key is on. Perform an ohm test on the black/green wire to the chassis ground; you should see no resistance.
If everything checks out, leave the connector unplugged and connect a headlight bulb to the yellow/red wire and black/green wire. If the bulb shines brightly, the likely issue is a faulty rack and pinion.
