Nuclear Neighbourhood

[a familiar map is on the screen] [you hear a narrator with a French accent]

Ah... Look at the homes of the tiny creatures we call atoms. Each of them have coloured houses and live amongst each other thanks to the three blocks: S, D, F, P. Ladies and gentlemen, I present you...

[the TV is buffering] [suddenly, an announcement begins]

(Sorry for the interruption! I forgot to mention that this post is not about The Seasonal Quartet despite the RYGB scheme you see. Since this is my first Atomic Archives post, I had to clear that up.)

[a narrator with a more subtle accent chimes in] [the way he talks and zooms in the map is quick]

Anyways, the s-block is the most interesting block in this neighborhood. As you can see, Helium, chasing the exact thing he's running away from—loneliness, moved his little house to the p-block, which explains the hole and why that red building sticks out like a sore thumb. At least, Ununennium is here to fill that missing spot, right?

Oh! I forgot. The d-block and f-block are also worth talking about. Look how the generous transition metals sacrificed two spots to build a path to the otherwise isolated f-block. Now that's what I call neighbourhood!

[the video ends] [you switch channels]
"I wonder what The Seasonal Quartet means."
