⛴️ 如果有張 show 晒香港全部渡輪航綫嘅地鐵式路綫圖，會唔會令大家更願意搭船？👀
⏱️ 一直都覺得香港各間船公司喺提供乘客資訊方面各自為政，相當雜亂無章，有啲公司即使轉咗 responsive 網站，卻仍然只有 jpg 格式嘅時間表。記得以前有個香港渡輪 app 係整理晒所有航綫嘅時間表，但早幾年已經收皮。於是筆者就開始嘗試設計可以套用落全港渡輪嘅統一品牌形象，由簡潔易明嘅時間表、指示牌格式開始，去到最近就試下整埋路綫圖。
📍 呢張圖嘗試用簡單綫條同圖形呈現渡輪航綫之間嘅關係，清楚顯示每個地方有邊啲船搭，特別適合 island hopping。筆者嘗試幫每條航綫編冧把方便識別，同埋用簡單嘅符號概括返每條航綫嘅服務細節、班次密度。
整到一半，見到（啱啱發現原來都係 BSP grad 嘅） @marcohey 都整咗張「香港搭船指南」。個人會覺得兩張圖行嘅路綫唔同，各有各嘅對象同目標，不過大家都不妨睇晒兩張圖再畀下意見 😅
⛴️ I had no idea how vast Hong Kong’s ferry system was… until I tried mapping it like a metro network.
🌊 With nearly 40 ferry routes connecting outlying islands and coastal communities, Hong Kong’s maritime transport network is more intricate than most people realise. Despite being government-regulated, the routes are operated by different companies, making it surprisingly hard to find a clear, unified overview…
🎨 So I decided to create one myself. This metro-style diagram is my personal attempt to bring clarity to the chaos, and looks especially useful for island hopping and exploring the city’s maritime origins. Each route is numbered for easy reference, and I’ve added a system of symbols indicating how frequent and intense each service is.
🧑💻 It’s part of a side project to give Hong Kong’s ferries a cohesive identity, starting with better timetables and wayfinding. Let me know what you think.
