She is very naive when it comes to Future plus, Ciara has had financial issues in the past and has issues with overspending (which is from what I hear the main reason 50 dissed her the way he did). She went back to making music in large part because she needed the money. She thought getting pregnant by Future would make him settle down and lock him down but again from what I hear Future is still up to his old tricks. She had sponsors overseas but all that stuff fell through. She may very well see Future as a last resort.

Duh. After the damage Fiddy did to her image and her self esteem, Future was a come up. Ciara is still beautiful, but she's getting older and after a man publicly disses you, your stock lowers. She's still got a rep to keep up, so its not like she can dating your local mailman. I'm not sure what her relationship is like with Future, but she needed some financial security and he'll do (at least for now) and he's good look for her. At least he's established as an artist, and doesn't come across as some local no-name talent using her for a come up.

1) She played too heavily into the whole Barbie/Roman persona. The public identified her with that craziness and eventually no one took her seriously as far as her music is concerned. She's no longer the "new hot female rapper with the crazy looks" so she had to switch it up.

The revamp on her physical image was a good call IMO, but I honestly don't think Nicki's future projects will have the buzz she had during the mixtape/PF days. It seems as though she made a lot of faux pas with the media (Billy Bush called her out for rudely walking away from a reporter on the carpet on Access Hollywood/that weird Grammy performance).

She also came for industry vets (Mariah (she might be crazy/diva-ish but she's Mariah and she's probably got more contacts than Nicki could dream of) and I think she insinuated Steven Tyler was racist).

Chance The Rapper is a scam. He's a nice guy but he was brought up by a group of people that are interested in taking the game over without using the label system. Listen, I have no problem with that but pretending that you are a struggling artist and sh!t is wrong. His brother is the struggling artist. I'm going to make a thread soon about these scams that are being ran with new artists. Pretending to be struggling artists when being brought up with HUGE managers, agents, and PR teams.

I agree. She spent so much time catering or trying to cater to her pop fans that she alienated her hip hop fan base. Pop music fans are so fickle. I don't think she'll ever be as big as she was circa 2011/12 with Superbass and Starships
