Kolyma, a so-called network from Russia that buys imageboards (soyjak.party/suggest//res/5328.html is an example) and provides free hosting and technical support (pic1). According to their founder, they have been around since 2000 and have several imageboards in their network. But is this true?
Here is how anons review Yuri Kuznetsov, the founder of kolyma network:
“jfc i heard this kuz pedophile before can anyone spoonfeed me about this (he also had involvement in the altchan datamining)” (pic2)
“>>5403
He runs all these (actual datamining link btw)
bbs.kolyma.org/”
(pic3)
He writes about himself on his own wiki, you can read it here:

So, let's start from the very beginning. The domain kolyma.org was bought in 2007, but by no means by them. According to Kuznetsov the network was founded in 2005, but in webarchive this domain clearly doesn't belong to them. Moreover, the domain was sold at auction. After 2016, the domain was inactive, according to webarchive. As kolyma-network, it only became active in 2021. Kolyma-network lied about its creation date.
Proof:
web.archive.org/web/*/kolyma.org – webarchive
web.archive.org/web/20161006223901/kolyma.org/ - domain on sale
web.archive.org/web/20161006144040/www.kolyma.org/ - another page, domain on sale
web.archive.org/web/20151017070323/www.kolyma.org/ - an even earlier sale offer with a link to godaddy auction (pic8 with translation)
ru.godaddy.com/domain-auctions/kolyma-org-158176017 – the auction itself, finished.
(pic5)(THE PARTY DIDN'T GET SOLD, KYS DRAMAFAG)
Next we look at their official wiki: all pages are made in 2 months in March-May 2021.
Proof:
info.kolyma.org/index.php/Special:AncientPages – oldest pages, all from 2021
(pic6)
Their archive, where saved threads from old boards should be stored, is also made in 2021. According to webarchive, the domain has only been active since 2021.
Proof:
www.arhiva.cf/arhiva/ - the "old" archive itself
web.archive.org/web/20210501000000*/www.arhiva.cf – webarchive
Another site, also made in 2021.
knn.jp.net/ - news
web.archive.org/web/*/knn.jp.net – webarchive, only 2021 activity can be seen
Their "old" website kolyma.jp is also made in 2021:
web.archive.org/web/20210501000000*/kolyma.jp – webarchive
kolyma.jp/ - site itself
Their twitter, created in March 2021. That's when the first wiki pages were created.
twitter.com/kolymanet – their twitter.
(pic7)
Kuz's blog, created in 2021 and apparently abandoned at the same time.
kuz.fka.cx/ - blog itself
web.archive.org/web/20200101000000*/kuz.fka.cx – webarchive
kuz.lol - another page dedicated to the great and powerful "KUZ". Also created at the same time in late 2020.
web.archive.org/web/*/kuz.lol - webarchive
Their boards:
2ちゃん.net — something in Japanese, already dead, inactive since early 2014 until the end of 2020. The site changed completely when it relaunched at the end of 2020, now in English.
web.archive.org/web/20200501000000*/2%E3%81%A1%E3%82%83%E3%82%93.net/ - webarchive, all is clear
www.heyuri.net - site was created in 2020, first DNS entry 2020-03-01 (see pic). Suspicious for a network "operating since 2005", isn't it? (pic9)
web.archive.org/web/2020*/www.heyuri.net — webarchive, all is also clear
9chan.moe/ - most interesting, the site didn't go live until 2021, but the first DNS records are dated 2020-05-22 (pic10).
web.archive.org/web/20200101000000*/9chan.moe/ - webarchive
ayashii.net/ - the domain has an old history, divided into 3 periods. The first is from 2004 to early 2005, something in Japanese, obviously not related to kolyma-network. The second is from 2016 to 2017. Judging by webarchive it's something personal, also not related to kolyma-network. And finally 2021, again a fresh chan that is already a part of kolyma-network.
2ch.cx — another fresh chan on a repurchased domain.
web.archive.org/web/20210301000000*/%202ch.cx — webarchive
0chan.vip — another one, late 2020 again.
0chan.vip — chan itself
web.archive.org/web/20210301000000*/0chan.vip - webarchive
Now about one of their main projects, namely gurochan. Many people remember this site, but what does kolyma-network have to do with it? On their wiki, they say that Kuznetsov revived this site by kicking out the old admin because of his "mental instability". Simply put, the site was blatantly stolen from the owner who trusted this network's "help". In this page, so-called Kuz (creator of kolyma-network) tries to justify himself, but apparently because of the event's publicity, he did not hide the facts too much:
info.kolyma.org/index.php/Gurochan — page on their wiki
web.archive.org/web/20210703161139/info.kolyma.org/index.php/Gurochan — webarchive in case they edit the page
encyclopediadramatica.wiki/index.php/Gurochan — about gurochan itself
When asking about kolyma-network, anon will get either sketchy rumors about datamining and aggressive chan takeover, or a long answer, absurd to anyone who has been browsing imageboards for more than two years. Here's an example: (pic11). "Bots? Propaganda? Take your meds schizo" I could be told, but by who? Let's look in webarchive again:
web.archive.org/web/20210605005743/www.kolyma.org/ - hiring people for cheap jobs
web.archive.org/web/20210605005743/www.kolyma.org/ - hiring page, has a link to job descriptions
Everything looks normal, but is it? See kolyma-network Organization Structure page:
www.kolyma.org/organization/ - organization structure
web.archive.org/web/20210703151646/www.kolyma.org/organization/ - webarchive
web.archive.org/web/20210703151646/www.kolyma.org/organization/#Surveillance%20Office – let's focus on this job. How is it described to us?
Surveillance Office
“An office of the Security Division which is dedicated to keeping tabs on enemies of the Kolyma Network, monitoring users, and collecting intelligence information for use by KolymaNET”
Collecting information and dealing with some kind of enemies of kolyma-network, interesting, isn't it?
Here's an example of how they dealt with maki (altchans admin, mentioned in ED konatachan page encyclopediadramatica.wiki/index.php/KonataChan).
srv.kolyma.org/bnt/2021/3/9/bounty/computer-hacking-fraud/maki_lolifox_64chan.txt – bounty on maki, 1000 USD(!)
web.archive.org/web/20210314040236/srv.kolyma.org/bnt/2021/3/9/bounty/computer-hacking-fraud/maki_lolifox_64chan.txt – webarchive of this page in case they delete it
After that, Maki had to delete his chan because, according to him, Kuz threatened him with ddos, spam, and abuse reports. The site was indeed spammed with child porn and meaningless text. As of writing this, the site is down, but I was able to find an example in webarchive:
web.archive.org/web/20210303115211/lolifox.cf/b/index.html – dead children, cp, guro
kissu.moe/qa/res/4165#q70559 – discussion of events (warning: lots of meta and unrelated shit)
They even had to justify themselves on their official website, since they could no longer hide the truth:
kolyma.org/statements/Dismissing%20Rumors%20of%20Aggression – page itself
web.archive.org/web/20210703155525/www.kolyma.org/statements/Dismissing%20Rumors%20of%20Aggression – webarchive
Let's sum it up. Kolyma-network is a datamining project, not shy to overtake chans and blatantly force admins to sell their projects. Free hosting and technical support is a lure to gather under their control as many chans as possible. For what purpose? At the very least to gather information, the rest is food for thought. These people don't hesitate to lie about their "years" of age by creating pages about themselves on the wiki. Their lies have been proven above and preserved in webarchive, and their sites are nothing more than a cover that they change almost every week. Anon, spread the word, don't let some dataminers from Russia take over your favorite chans!
