to get a missing finger back denoise needs to be pretty high and then the patch will look out of place, with an editor you can draw something in to help it create the finger even with low denoise
if you do actual inpainting with an inpainting model it will start from scratch and still be coherent but it likely won't do the naughty bits properly if it happens to overlap
there is https://github.com/Acly/comfyui-inpaint-nodes to turn non-inpaint models into inpainting but I haven't tried it yet
