Would it be safe to fly to Louisville this week? I’ll be moving there but I want to know if it’s safe since I’ll be flying over there. Or would you all recommend next week instead?

From what I understand, and can hear as I am 4 miles from the airport, the airport is functioning again. Flights times and such have changed of course.
Also, plane crashes are VERY uncommon, especially ones like this, hence why this is getting so much media.
Statistically speaking, flying is still safer than driving. Just check your booking information but yes, you can still fly here.
As long as your flight isn't delayed due to the airport closure for a few hours yesterday, this week is fine. The vast majority of the city is business as usual.
Except for the engine that separated from the plane inside the airport perimeter / at the end of the runway, the wreckage is completely outside of airport property. Flying in and out is as safe as it's ever been.
Should be fine. Just check on your flight status because I'm sure between this and all the other airline stuff going on right now, there will be impacts
Yeah they are just doing a bunch of cleanup. I doubt it would hinder your travel but if you wanna be safe everything should be pretty well cleaned up next week.

Would you recommend just to do it at the beginning of next week instead?
Also thank you for making me feel better that was worrying me since it’ll only be like the 4th I fly and I have anxiety lol

there have 100s of commercial air crashes out of many millions of flights.
how many times has one crash been followed in a few weeks by another crash at the same airport? lightning rarely strikes twice and all.
That makes me feel better honestly I just have really bad anxiety

Next week would be better but if the airport is open then it’s safe to fly in. Looks like they have resumed flights.
That’s good to know I think I’ll stick to the beginning of next week then
