I'm usually the one going away either for work trip, or skating etc and it's nothing. We've been married for 9 years but maybe we're like girlfriend/boyfriend, since we take time off to do things together we both enjoy, we still travel like a travel date mainly skiing, amusement parks, but even though we live in the same home, we don't cook (not even for ourselves, so of course not for the other person)and each one cleans their own things and clothes, don't share same bed or room since we have different schedules and habits, and it works so great. We have the other person but still have our own time and space. We schedule something fun to do together when I am back, same as we usually schedule
