Herman "H.G." Carrillo (1960 – April 20, 2020)[3] was an Afro-Cuban American[4] writer and Assistant Professor of English at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.[5] Central to Carrillo's writing was the Cuban immigrant experience in the United States.
