I wonder if it's because she really doesn't even have to work. Her family is wealthy. They own the NY Giants amongst other things. I also recently realized that her sister acts, as well. A business move, advised by their execs, to build up their brand. There may indeed be love on occasion, but not the kind of love that requires exclusivity. "Love" that's pretty flexible depending on future career circumstances and goals.

Thanks for the tea. This was a sweet read. Just wanted to add that I think Jewlia is likely very arrogant an full of herself. She probably thinks the sun rises and sets in her ass but I think people calling her a racist for the sake of calling her a racist is a bit much particularly when you learn about her upbringing. Racist people tend to learn those habits from their parents and her family sounds like the complete opposite of that. Add to that the fact that she goes to bat for her black and brown friends and I have a hard time believing that without receipts. Hell there are black actors/actresses that for go to bat the way she does. At the height of Will's fame(bigger b.o. also keep in mind with the casting couch thing, that although male dominated, women do hold some weight. There are powerful women agents, exec producers in hollywood and this is a big one right here: White Women completely dominate casting agencies.

So when folk hit that 'casting couch', remember that it's not all the time at the request of male TPTB.

They may dominate, but they don't hold THAT much weight. They're still being told what to do because if they don't, they lose a lot of their clients and when the clients (directors, producers, studios) go, so will the actors and agents…

They have the power to get in these directors and TPTB and agents ears and strike deals for actors they like and get them in films, key films, if they can. That's some measure of power. Richard recalled that story in tears and recognized his ignorance) And if the agents have a good rep and are good at their jobs and pick winners, trust me key people will listen, so no they don't lose clients; it don't work quite like that. Notice I didn't outright say, 'it don't work like that' altogether. It's some real deep doo doo to have no one work with you at all, EVER again. Trust it takes more than, 'I don't like that person you suggested and they were wrong for it."

As for looking out for his former cast mates he certainly doesn't have to but I do think it speaks volumes about a persons character when they make it a point to look out for their friends and while Jewlia sounds like she can be in ultra b!tch more half the time she sounds extremely loyal to her friends and on some very tiny level it is a redemptive quality. People call her racist and yet the examples given have shown that this woman is not that in the least yet at LSA we are quick to afix that label to any non black person.

Hollywood works in the same way all other industry works. There are thugs, blackmailers, opportunists, nepotists, etc., in every aspect of life so Hollywood is truly just a microcosm of society and business. I don't know why people have such a hard time accepting this fact and instead demonize it all the time as though this corruption is exclusive to entertainment. Instead of looking for supernatural answers for why things happen, they should read the news of what's going on in their own backyard because these same patterns emerge. (not accusing you of believing in the conspiracy theories just adding to the points you've already made.)

DC and RW cheat on each other. It's none of my business but I never got the impression that the cheating was agreed upon and accepted like a true open marriage but it goes on anyway. There doesn't seem to be a lot of respect in this particular marriage but something pulled and keeps these two together thus far. I try not to overanalyze other people's relationships, you never know unless you're in it.

I agree but, come on, we all know that very talented people get overlooked for a variety of factors, one of them being a person of color so he could definitely help influence with the power that he holds in Hollywood.

As a white woman who has gone out of her way to add characters of color, different sizes, sexuality, etc., to her projects to reflect my reality which is quite diverse, I still get push back from the system who continue to want to fill those spots with the usual homogenized look of Hollywood. Even when you try to do good the system is stuck and refuses to budge off of what they know. It's not that I think these people are necessarily racist (slightly biased? absolutely but that's most people) but also they're lazy as hell and used to doing one thing, the same thing, over and over. When you start working with younger people there's a lot more movement in a positive direction, more 'risk' taking (I don't know why it's supposed to be a risk but that's how they view it) but the progress is slow. I think it's a case of having to wait certain people out but as long as the oldies hold most of the power it's going to be a struggle to get them to budge on the status quo. Of course with the older generation overlooking, hiring and mentoring the younger generations, a lot of the same bad behaviors and conservative views get passed on which is why movement has been so very slow even though in real society it's gone a lot of faster. For every one person helping the cause, there's probably 3-5 who are keeping the status quo even if they're in the same generation. If we could get progress in Hollywood to reflect progress in society and vice versa I believe both would move towards equality and respect and a general positive direction much quicker because I personally believe it goes hand in hand.

Well damn. I knew she was fukn Finch, but Dan, too?! :no: I'm gonna have to start searching for tea on him. I really thought him and Wise were ready to stay committed to each other and calm down at their age. Lol I expect too much from some of these celebs.

Also, if Finch dropped her, how they gonna make the sequel as good as the first one? I always thought it was because he had her constantly under his control (mentally and sexµally sick that he was able to bring out the character in her. She would have never been able to play that role if it weren't for him and his overall creepiness over her.

Yes. I think that makes a lot of sense.

Also marriage provides a cover to help mask an amalgam things that could be deemed damaging to their image and career.


For example 'So and so can't possibly be gay,because they are MARRIED', 'There's no way so and so is fµck!ng all those
people, he or she is happily MARRIED'. To the more disturbing, 'He or she can't possibly be a pedo or have a warped penchant for underage, because they are happily MARRIED'. I have seen this type of view point trotted out by many people in the gossip sphere, when it comes to tea about certain celebs.

As cynical as this post modern world may seem to be, society still in someways holds onto some very traditional ideals. Marriage gives an air of respectabilty to folk.

That's the polar opposite of what most people think of him. A lot of people have him being only slightly less of an agro ass than J/ames C/ameron but he's actually quite soft spoken and patient so it's just interesting how there are so many different demeanors attributed to him based on the form of exposure. He's not gay though. He's had several long term relationships with women and has a daughter with his producer and partner C/éan C/haffin, plus the RM affair. It would've come up in my circles by now if he was bi or gay.

DF and RM were in full BDSM (master/slave) mode while rehearsing and shooting that film. What I never could find out is if it was purely emotional or if it got sexµal. His producing partner is also his life partner so I don't know how she could tolerate it either way as the BDSM lifestyle is incredibly emotional and bonding (no pun intended.) Even if it never got sexµal I would've felt extremely threatened standing in CC's shoes.
