Great job! That's an insane achievement. How did you do it?

I like your outfits btw. Super cute.

Thank you! Just eating better and drinking, drinking and more drinking! (Water btw! And a lot of tea and coffee too!) I started running in January too which has definitely helped tone up my legs!

Nice! If the weather or something else prevents you from going, I jump rope. It's so much fun. I can do it indoors though.

I lost 70 lbs in 18 months. Yay to us 🙌

I agree on the ring size. After 12 months, my wedding band constantly slipped off. I finally had it resized. Went from ring size 18 to 12. I couldn't believe how much was taken off, I would have never expected to lose so much on my fingers on top of the rest.

Congratulations!! And yes, my rings were too tight to wear after gaining weight and now they keep falling off! I haven't got round to having them resized yet but i did buy some plastic clips that keep them on my fingers!

How did you do it??? I've been struggling to lose weight

I dont have a magic answer I'm afraid, just making better choices, less snacking and drinking and drinking and drinking, i can't emphasise that enough, staying hydrated made a huge difference. And low cal hot choc, tea and coffee to help me satisfy cravings and feel full up. I started running in January too which has helped tone my legs and I feel fitter and enjoy being more active now!

I love that you found a system that works for you. The mental challenge is definitely the hardest part.

Im not OP but I lost 25lbs and kept it off for years now. The key for me has been consistency, and not beating myself up if I fell off the wagon. And finding an activity you enjoy doing that will get you moving because if you do something you don’t enjoy… you’re not gonna want to do it!

They say weight loss starts in the kitchen, and it does, but doing a physical activity you enjoy can often get you in the mindset of eating better. Say you love kickball but you realize you don’t run very fast. So you decide to skip the hamburger for lunch one day and you get a salad instead. Then you end up losing a couple pounds in a few weeks, and you realize that makes you feel good. You’re still not very fast but you’re getting better at kicking in kickball. You think “if I did a couple of leg exercises, I bet I’d be even better at kicking” so you do, and you add a protein shake for breakfast instead of a waffle because now you’re doing some weight exercises. All the while you’re maintaining playing kickball because you’re having fun and you’ve made friends and they make sure you show up because you’re a good teammate and they like having you around!

Before you know it, you keep making lifestyle changes that suit you. Sometimes you have a cheat day that turns into a cheat week. Don’t beat yourself up about it! Just tell yourself you needed a little break, and then get back to it. The key is always consistency because once you make it a habit, it feels much easier to do!

The physical actions are straightforward: count calories and stay in a calorie deficit while adding some strength training and cardio.  Get 7 hours of sleep each day.

The mindset is the tough part. How you avoid sugar and processed crap, day in and day out, is tougher, especially depending on your job and time constraints. Maintaining energy and motivation can be complicated.  For me, the calorie counting had to become a habit and my gym time only increased as I changed jobs to something less demanding.  I quit bringing alcohol into my home. I started caring about sleep quality. I joined a men’s soccer group that pushed me to the limit.

Congrats! It’s super difficult to even motivate oneself sometimes, so keeping up the effort is worthy of so much praise!

Congratulations!

So proud of you stranger! I lost 30 so far and it's been hard but so rewarding. It's the weirdest places you don't expect. My too small eye glasses now fit which I guess makes sense. My face is less fat. 🤣 Great job you look lovely.

Incredible transformation

Wait fingers can get smaller so does that mean it can also get bigger?

I'm on my journey to lose about 80 lbs. I lost 50 about 5 yrs ago but put all back on plus some. I'm down 24 lbs and am already feeling and seeing the benefits. Congratulations OP, I can appreciate how much hard work and commitment it takes to lose the weight. Way to go!

Congrats. I'm down 306lbs... Fucking amazing how much life changes when you're a normal sized person in the eyes of society. Enjoy the rest of your life. :)
