>>109628Here is a simple guide written for total anime noobs (people with zero experience playing anime on their computers):
• Use MPC-BE from:
https://portableapps.com/redir2/?a=MPC-BEPortable&s=s&d=pa&f=MPC-BEPortable_1.8.4.paf.exe• Install ffdshow from:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-tryout/files/latest/download• Start MPC-BE
• Go into "Options"
• Go to "Video" and select "Enhanced Video Renderer (custom presenter)" and there set "Resizer" to "Lanczos3" (beware: while "Bicubic A=-1.0" is the sharpest, it causes the most ringing artifacts)
• Go to "External Filters" and there "Add Filter…"
• There add "ffdshow raw video filter", then select "Prefer"
• To access the ffdshow options (to be able to use ffdshow's extremely powerful "Picture Properties" and "Levels" which when set wisely can dramatically improve how an anime looks), play a video and rightclick and go to "Filters" and click "ffdshow raw video filter"
