Sony Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sony Group") will debut a prototype of the future mobility entertainment "VR Cockpit" at the "Japan Mobility Show 2025 (JMS)" to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Koto-ku from October 29th (Wednesday) to November 9th (Sun).
The prototype of this VR cockpit is installed in the "LEXUS RealxVirtual Driving Concept *1 powered by VR Cockpit" exhibited by LEXUS on the tour program
"Tokyo Future Tour 2035" in JMS where you can experience the future in 10 years. We offer a new driving experience to enjoy the software "Gran Turismo 7" for PlayStation®5 / PlayStation®4 while enjoying the realistic driving feeling while riding in the car.
It is said that more than ninety percent of the car's life span is parked and stopped. The VR Cockpit, which is being developed by the Sony Group, is a service and solution that brings new value to the car by utilizing the inside of the car as an entertainment space such as game experience, based on the concept of "moving mobility in parking to an inspiring space". In this exhibition, VR Cockpit synchronizes the actual car with Gran Turismo7, realizing a highly reproducible driving simulation based on the driver's driving operation, and you can experience an immersive feeling in a game like never before.
We created this prototype with the desire to convey to all users, including children who will lead the future, that cars will be more fun." On that day, the way we use the car changed."
