The Plus Program
The Plus Program offers two levels of enhanced subscription net revenue share rates for qualifying Affiliates and Partners:
- Level 1: 60/40 net revenue share ("Level 1")
- Level 2: 70/30 net revenue share ("Level 2")
This enhanced net revenue for subscriptions is earned in connection with recurring monthly subscriptions and gift subs. The enhanced net revenue share rate lasts for 12 months from the qualifying date; longer if the Affiliate or Partner continues to qualify.
To qualify for the Plus Program, streamers must adopt the Monetized Streamer Agreement ("MSA") prior to meeting the qualification criteria (e.g., if you hope to qualify in October, you must adopt the MSA no later than the end of September).
How to Qualify
Plus Program qualification is granted on the 1st of each month to qualifying participants. To qualify, participants must meet certain recurring subscriber minimums for 3 months.
These recurring subscriber minimums are counted by Plus Points. Each time a recurring subscription purchase is made towards a streamer’s channel, they earn Plus Points. The Plus Program levels unlock at the following thresholds:
- Level 1: Achieve 100 Plus Points or more for 3 consecutive months
- Level 2: Achieve 300 Plus Points or more for 3 consecutive months
What types of subscriptions count towards Plus Points?
Recurring subscription purchases contribute to Plus Points. To qualify for the Plus Program, Partners and Affiliates must achieve 100 Plus Points or more (Level 1) or 300 Plus Points or more (Level 2) each month for 3 consecutive months.
Do different sub tiers count differently towards Plus Points?
Yes. A Tier 3 subs counts as 6 Plus Points, a Tier 2 as 2, and a Tier 1 as 1. So, more higher tier subs may help you reach Plus Program eligibility faster.
Do different sub tiers count Plus Points differently towards each level of the Plus Program?
No. Plus Points are counted the same towards each level of the Plus Program.
Plus Point requirements are the same for all Affiliates and Partners across the globe.
How are Plus Points calculated?
When evaluating program eligibility, the Plus Points total for a calendar month is calculated from the 1st of that month until 23:59:59 UTC (Universal Coordinated Time) on the last day of that month. On the first of each month, Plus Points reset, and you start fresh from 0 points.
Each time a subscriber purchases a subscription for your channel (whether as a recurring payment or a new subscription), Plus Points are added to your monthly total (+1 for Tier 1, +2 for Tier 2, +6 for Tier 3).
If you have more than 100 (Level 1) or more than 300 (Level 2) Plus Points by 23:59:59 UTC on the last day of the month, you have hit the required amount of Plus Points for qualification for the Plus Program that month.
For example, your viewer subscribes at Tier 1 on January 20 and continues to subscribe until April 20. You get a point on January 20 for their new subscription counting towards the month of January. You receive additional points on February 20 and March 20 (towards each respective month) every time that subscription recurs. Since the viewer’s subscription ends April 20, you wouldn’t get Plus Points on April 20.
Multi-month subscription payments are added to your Plus Points total on the viewer’s monthly subscription renewal date. So, a new purchase of a multi-month subscription counts for as many Plus Points that month as a regular monthly recurring subscription. Each month that multi-month subscription renews, it adds Plus Points as if it were a regular single-month recurring subscription.
How are Plus Points different from Sub Points?
Plus Points and Sub Points both offer a way to think about Sub Count, or the number of subscribers you currently have and weigh different subscription tiers (Tier 1 = 1 point, Tier 2 = 2 points, and Tier 3 = 6 points). However, there are some important differences.
Plus Points and Sub Points differ in what they count towards, when in a month they are calculated, and which subscription types contribute to them.
Plus Points only count towards your Plus Program qualification. Qualification is evaluated at the start of each calendar month at 23:59:59 UTC (Universal Coordinated Time) to see if you have gathered more than 100 (Level 1) or more than 300 (Level 2) Plus Points in the previous month. Plus Points include only paid recurring subs of all subscription tiers.
Sub Points count towards unlocking additional emote slots, or meeting creator goals you set. Sub points may fluctuate during a month as you gain and lose subscribers. Sub Points include paid recurring subs of all subscription tiers, including Prime sub users and gift sub holders.
Do upgrades of Prime or gift subs count towards Plus Points?
Yes, you will receive Plus Points after the initial gift sub or Prime sub period expires and the new paid recurring sub period begins. Put simply, Plus Points are awarded in the month that the viewer is charged, not in the month that a viewer commits to a Prime or gift sub upgrade.
For example, a viewer receives a one-month gift sub or uses their Prime sub towards your channel on August 13th. Even if the viewer upgrades their gift sub or Prime sub before the expiration date, you won't receive the Plus Points until 30 days from the original gift date* or Prime sub use date. In this example, that would be on September 13th.
*Not all gift subscriptions last 30 days. 3-month and 6-month gift subscriptions are available, with 12-month packages available on certain platforms.
How does a sub tier upgrade impact Plus Points?
Viewers are charged instantly for each sub tier upgrade. Prices are not prorated. It is not recommended to upgrade a subscription tier mid-month.
Subscription tier upgrades are charged immediately at the time of upgrade and apply additional Plus Points towards the month the upgrade is committed.
For example, if a viewer upgrades their subscription from Tier 1 to Tier 2 in the middle of their subscription term, you’ll receive Plus Points for both tiers, equalling 3 Plus Points from that viewer for that month in total. In this example, the viewer is charged twice.
How does lowering sub tier impact Plus Points?
Lowering the subscription tier (Tier 3 to Tier 2 or Tier 2 to Tier 1) does not result in an immediate charge to the purchaser. The lower Plus Point value is applied in the month that the transaction completes. Remember, Plus Points are awarded in the month the subscriber is charged, not the month they commit to a lower tier
For example, a viewer purchases a Tier 2 paid recurring subscription towards your channel on August 13th. You will receive Plus Points for the Tier 2 purchase in August. If the viewer decides to update their subscription to Tier 1 in the middle of their subscription term, the viewer will be charged for the lower Tier 1 subscription when the original Tier 2 subscription benefits expire. As a result, you will receive the lower value Plus Points in the month the viewer’s new subscription term begins.
Not all paid recurring subscriptions renew every 30 days. 3-month and 6-month paid recurring subscriptions are available.

I qualified for 1 or 2 months towards the Plus Program but missed a month. What's next?
Don't give up! If you are on track to qualify for the Plus Program, but you drop below 100 or 300 Plus Points in a month, work with your community towards qualifying the next month. Keep track of this month's progress and your previous months through your Creator Dashboard.
Qualification months must be consecutive. If you completed 1 or 2 months prior to missing a month, you will need to start fresh and earn 3 consecutive months or the minimum of 100 or 300 Plus Points to qualify for their respective levels.
When do Plus Program dashboards reset for the next month?
Qualification is evaluated at the start of each calendar month at 23:59:59 UTC (Universal Coordinated Time) to see if you have gathered more than 100 (Level 1) or more than 300 (Level 2) Plus Points in the previous month.
Enrollment and Earnings
Congratulations on qualifying for the Plus Program! This section explains some specific enrollment scenarios.
If you continue to qualify:
How long do I remain enrolled?
When you enter the Plus Program (after 3 consecutive months of more than 100 or more than 300 Plus Points), you remain in the Plus Program for a minimum of 12 months, or longer if you continue to satisfy the qualification criteria while in the program.
In other words, any month you meet the qualification criteria (i.e., sufficient Plus Points accumulated each of the prior three months), your Plus Program end date is reset to 12 months from that date.
Two examples may help:
- If you successfully maintain more than 100 or more than 300 Plus Points in February, March, and April, then your 12 months would start on May 1 and end April 30 the following year.
- If you successfully maintain more than 100 or more than 300 Plus Points in each of February, March, April, and May, then you would again qualify on June 1 and you would be in the program until at least May 31 of the following year.
Can I qualify for Level 2 of the Plus Program while in Level 1?
Yes. Thanks to a Plus Program update in 2024, there are now two levels to the Plus Program. Qualifying Affiliates and Partners may move up from Level 1 (60/40 net revenue on subscriptions) to Level 2 (70/30 net revenue on subscriptions) at any time if they meet the 300 Plus Point threshold for 3 consecutive months to qualify for Level 2.
If your Plus Points drop below 100 (Level 1) or 300 (Level 2) after qualifying for either level:
After qualifying, if you drop below 300 Plus Points (Level 2) or 100 Plus Points (Level 1), you still retain the higher net subscription revenue share rate until 12 months after the date of your most recent qualification.
For example:
- You qualify for the Plus Program on May 1, 2024 (reached more than 100 or more than 300 Plus Points in February, March, and April). In June 2024, you drop to 80 or 250 Plus Points. Regardless, your improved revenue share continues through April 30, 2025.*
You can also re-qualify. For example:
- If you re-qualify for 3 consecutive months any time within your most recent 12-months period, your qualification extends for 12 months* following your most recent qualification date.
- For example, if you qualify for the Plus Program on May 1, 2024 (you accumulated more than 100 or more than 300 Plus Points in February, March, and April).
- Your initial Plus Program net revenue share period spans from May 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025.*
- You maintain more than 100 or more than 300 Plus Points each of May, June, and July. As a result, your Plus Program qualification period extends through July 31, 2025.
- In August 2024, you drop to 80 or 200 Plus Points. Your Level 1 or Level 2 subscription net revenue share still applies through July 31, 2025.
- Now, in September, October, and November, you accumulate more than 100 or more than 300 Plus Points again.
- In December 2024, you re-qualify for the Plus Program at Level 1 or Level 2.
- Then, your most recent Plus Program qualification period continues from December 1, 2024, through November 30, 2025.*
- This cycle of qualification and extension goes on and on.
