THE PERMANENT COLLECTION
The Permanent Collection houses 25 masterpieces donated to the institution by Giovanni and Marella Agnelli. The nucleus of works of exceptional historical and artistic value includes masterpieces of eighteen-century venetian art and neoclassical plaster casts by Canova; the pre-impressionism of Édouard Manet, and the impressionism of Pierre-Auguste Renoir; the great futurist canvas of Giacomo Balla and the cubist paintings of Pablo Picasso and Gino Severini, concluding with the return to figuration by Amedeo Modigliani and seven canvases by Henri Matisse. The works are exhibited in the so-called Scrigno, a suspended structure designed by Renzo Piano on the roof of the Lingotto.

Pinacoteca Agnelli’s Library holds approximately 4,000 books including monographic volumes, exhibition catalogues, auction catalogues, magazines and essays on collecting and on twentieth-century Italian and International art.
In addition to the documents illustrating the cultural activity of the institution since 2002 and photographic records relating to the renovation of the Lingotto building by Renzo Piano, the Pinacoteca Agnelli’s Archive also contains multimedia records of the Conversazioni sul Collezionismo, a cycle of talks that took place from 2010 to 2019.

REQUESTS FOR THE REPRODUCTION OF IMAGES OF THE PERMANENT COLLECTION
For requests to reproduce an image of a work of art in the Pinacoteca Agnelli or an image of archival materials, please download, complete and send back this form.
Images of works held in the collections of the Pinacoteca Agnelli may not be published, copied or transferred to third parties without the written authorisation of our institution. In the case of authorisation, two copies of the resulting publication must be sent to the following address: Dipartimento Collezione, Pinacoteca Agnelli, Via Nizza 230/103, 10126 – Turin, Italy. Any payment of rights for the concession of the images must be made by bank transfer.
Copyright: In addition to this authorisation, please remember that the works of Giacomo Balla, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and Gino Severini are subject to copyright. Any use other than personal is subject to a request for authorisation and payment of any SIAE royalties due.
