Some people understand these principles, and others think they make you a bad person. To quote Nero Knowledge yet again, “reality doesn’t care if you’re nice.” Making sure the other player’s needs are met is not how you win at chess. If you know this and still choose to be nice because you don’t care about winning, then more power to you. But I’m assuming that if you clicked on this newsletter, you are not one of those people.
