Rompus & Butterfly Screensaver
This is the time for creative fun in fashion and inspiration is everywhere. While following the news of the day and trying to make heads or tails of its implications, I saw a message from a person I respect that totally captured my attention. It was a challenge to find a way to launch a new take on one favorite Summer outfit-- rompers. I started out making a new romper for men--- long shorts, deep cargo pockets, uhh... lots of room where it seemed most needed, and a removable belt. It looked great and from my focus group volunteers, it was also very comfortable. But my mind kept wandering back to my own romper wearing experiences as a woman, and that's when my creativity kicked into high gear.
SO... QUICK NOTE: This romper project is for women!
Rompers are super cool and sassy, singlet style outfits offered in a myriad of colors -- but basically designed with the same construction style of a top sewn to a bottom. And they all have one shortcoming in common: no way for women to #LookDope and still #StayDressed when nature calls.
The Butterfly Romper is a gorgeous short romper that has a secret:
The Butterfly Romper is designed to give you a choice to use straps if you want extra security on top. Either way, your top stays on while you unfasten the "butterfly wings" and in two motions have the ease needed to do whatever you need to do.
One of the best parts of the creative challenge is the inspiration to share the opportunity with others. And the project will be pulled off and succeed through a new collective of creative fashion students and seamstresses. Together we'll bring the BUTTERFLY ROMPER to life so it can be delivered as a reward to Rompus 3 and above donors on time. The target is for all romper rewards to be postmarked no later than August 3, 2017. After funding is cleared, every effort will be made to get the BUTTERFLY ROMPER out when finished so donors can show off its great look at all the best backyard BBQ, park picnics, beach house, and pool parties. Wear it to stroll down the boardwalk near the shore and beach in your hometown, or the home boulevards during your staycation.
Backing this project will be amazing because not only will a new clothing item get made and introduced to the world with your help, but it will also give a boost to a new collective of creative people working together to bring more fashion fun to this summer. Who knows? The Butterfly Romper may be the start for a KYTO collective seamstress or pattern maker who will become the next great fashion house designer.

As with every project there are many development, logistical, and execution challenges. There are also many risks to success. For this reason, KYTO wants every Rompus level donor to rest assured that regular project updates will be shared. Your "thumbs up" and support is vital to the success of this project. Among the recognized challenges are the human element and practical ability of some within the collective to meet the needs of a fast-paced, quick turnaround, no mistakes allowed environment. To mitigate against the possibility of errors during production, every aspect of the project will be closely monitored and only quality work will be shipped. A significant risk to the project is the availability of certain fabrics. To that end, KYTO will produce the Butterfly Romper in available fabrics which match the color promised offerings: black, moss, pink, red, white, light blue, and navy blue. Receipt of rewards ontime is both a challenge and a risk. Funding for projects is cleared two weeks after donor deadline, which means full scale production begins just afterwards. There is no way to ensure delivery of the Butterfly Romper rewards by a desired date of donor choosing. Notice of projected shipment date will be sent once determined with a reasonable amount of confidence. The Butterfly Romper will be made in New York and that means it will be MADE IN AMERICA. The Butterfly Romper will be delivered by postal mail. Postal delivery to donors can be a challenge, but we'll have tracking information available to ensure rewards are actually en route whenshipping notice is given. Rompus 1 and Rompus 2 Donors: For donors receiving digital rewards or art work, notice will be sent to you before any mailing begins to verify your address. An oft overlooked risk is reputational damage. Sometimes a change of heart takes place for any number of reasons and creates a desire to choose something else. Due to the nature of the project, it will not be possible to accept any returns or make exchanges. Your support is vital and the excitement to support a cool project is a big part of the fun. It is important that this be kept in mind. In the unlikely event the project can not be completed, all affected donors will be notified with available information and terms.
