Regarding exemption of crew members (drivers and conductors) from wearing uniform caps

In light of the recent rise in temperature due to climate change, Sagami Railway will be omitting the wearing of caps by train crew as part of measures to prevent heatstroke. We would like to inform you as follows. Thank you for your understanding.

Note

1. Implementation Overview

While on train duty (including when performing operations related to train operation on the platform), crew members may omit wearing their uniform caps.

2. Implementation period

From Monday, June 16th to Friday, October 31st, 2025

When exiting the station platform, trains will continue to wear their uniform caps as before.
As of April 2015, station staff are no longer required to wear their caps at ticket gates.
