Are you looking furward to eu5's release in a week? I am, I can't wait to play as the Romans and restore Roman glory. Really looking furward to how the pop and focus systems work too, playing tall might actually become fun.
They say this about every new game, how wunderbar it will be... and yet

I don’t have the time to play paraslop games anymore.

If you've played one paradox game, you've played them all. Better to wait till it's on sale, you know it's going to be incredibly buggy on release anyways.

coming from personal experience, only deadbeat uncles play that shit

there’s just too much shit on the screen to reasonably account and require a guide most of the time

I'm hopeful. Imperator 2.0 was good and this is made by the same dev team. Also people who have early access have said it's good and it's definitely more in depth than eu4.
Of course we'll need to see but I'd be surprised if it's bad
>>64485
Absolutely retarded opinion if not bait. You have to be blind to tell someone hoi4 is basically the same as ck3
>>64486
Skill issue if you can't figure out how to play them. Trial and error is part of the fun of learning strategy games

It is the same, the map might be different but the core is the same. You just have random pointless additions that only giga level autists care about. Grand strategy is slop, rts is better.

I feel like I need to broaden my strategy game horizons, the only one I really play is the Thrawn's Revenge mod fur Empire at War. Even then though I don't really have much patience fur the politics and infrastructure aspects of the mod beyond using it to unlock new units, it's mostly just the fleet battle aspect of EAWX I like. Doesn't help that the ground combat in empire at war in general is abysmal even though they try and fix it in the mods, so I always just stack hero units and auto resolve to skip it. Been meaning to try out some of the 40k fleet command games and Sins of a Solar Empire 2, anyone here played those?

You make it too easy. But being serious I don't see why you'd buy it on launch. But if you have the money, go fur it.

That's why I don't buy new games.

OMG it's coming out in a WEEK‽ Wowzers, I remember the Project Caesar blog updates like it was yesterday.

We can turn this into an impromptu Paradox gaymes thread ig. I'm playing as a meme Mongol horde in Vic 2. One fault this mod I'm using is is that it doesn't fix the tendency fur when the AI loses core states TO NEVER. STOP. DECELERATING. REGAIN. CORE. CB. on your ass. I've had to fend off both the Chinese and Russians over 9 times now, to the point that I've just resigned to cheating and white peacing them out, as fighting such a wide front with no railroads every four years isn't fun.

Definitely won't buy it on launch, too busy with other shit anyway. I do look furward to watching campaigns and discussions about it though. Probably gonna buy it when the Byzantine dlc releases in Q2 2026, should be on sale too
