I personally think IMAN is a snob. Shes been in the industry too damn long not to be lol. She truly paved the way for black fashion models and I respect her for that but shes lost her identity completely. She bleaches her skin, she uses steroids and with steroids you have to continue use or your skin will revert to its original color. shes much darker naturally than she is now and has been for years. I know a somali model named ubah hassan and she told me she did an interview with iman and she was so sweet on camera and when the camera crew left and it was just them she said to her in somali dont you dare think for a second you will ever be on my level, there is only one iman and just because youre somali doesnt mean you will take my place. that really shook ubah up. who says sh!t like that? its so sad someone that distinguished is threatened by younger models.
Ive worked with THE QUEEN (NAOMI CAMPBELL) once, she was really quiet. Over the years Ive heard various things about her, from men shes dated to tantrums shes thrown (ones that werent publicized). I heard once she went to harrods and demanded the entire department store be shut down for her so she could shop in peace :dead: harrods is HUGE and that is a true diva moment. she loves a man with money, but I feel like its ok because she has her own lol. Ive never met pat cleveland or her daughter, so cant tell you much about her.
Besides pat mcgrath, BETHANN is the woman I look up most to in the fashion industry. Ive had the pleasure of meeting her multiple times and she is absolutely brilliant. She literally knows everything about anything. Throw any topic at her and she will tell you the most interesting thing about it that you never knew. She also loves to talk about new york in the 70s and 80s and she tells the most amazing stories, it makes me so mad im an 80s baby. This sounds corny but I feel inspired and enlightened every time I speak with her, shes a very special woman. She has had a role in forming so many black models careers and she truly cares about them and their well-being. Its rare you find a person with so much depth working in such a superficial industry. Im borderline obsessed with her as you can probably tell by now lol.
@ moncher most models signed to reputable agencies in nyc have high end, exclusive dermatologists to help them with their skin. treatments really depend on models. some models have flawless skin naturally and have quite basic skin care regimes (cleanser, toner, facial scrub, moisturizer) and then some need the works: chemical peels, resurfacing lasers, prescribed topical ointments, i know a lot use this treatment called miratone that helps with collagen production and lessens the effects of sun exposure. models usually fall into 3 categories when it comes to diet and exercise: either theyre naturally lanky and thin and can eat whatever they want and occasionally work out, or they arent naturally thin and have to watch what they eat and exercise in a healthy manner, or theyre full blown anorexics and bulimics. Most models fall into the 2nd category. a lot of models have personal trainers courtesy of their agencies and they work out with them on a weekly basis. the bigger models have multiple pts in the cities they frequent the most. but a lot just work out themselves (usually the older they are the more likely they have a pt). i know spinning is really popular amongst models, pilates, yoga, and also workouts specifically targeted for the butt, like squats and lunges. I would say most models eat pretty healthy, they probably stick to around 1200 calories a day. when it comes to products, many models love and swear by kiehls moisturizers, as well as kerastase hair products. coconut oil is very popular as well for the skin and body. When it comes to makeup, a lot of models use nars, mac, but hands down the most popular is bobbi brown. since models are constantly having their makeup applied and taken off throughout the week , it is so crucial they moisturize and wash their faces thoroughly at night. most models do but some are sloppy and it makes my job harder. i actually get asked your questions often when people find out what my job is. besides having really good dermatologists, models arent really privy to secrets the average woman doesnt know. I have met many models when they were just starting out and the differences between then and now would blow some of yall away. A rough looking, awkward tall girl can become a supermodel with just a few tweaks lol. what women have to remember about models is that its their job to look good. models have to fit into sample sizes which are never bigger than a 2. no girl wants to be embarrassed at a fitting for a big designer because she cant fit into a pair of pants or something and then some other model takes that high profile job. when your entire salary depends on how you physically look, youre going to be motivated to work out, youre going to put down that donut, youre going to take care of your skin. your entire livelihood literally depends on it. and not only that, but models have to wear extremely revealing clothing at times and they have no say in the matter. i know if I was going to be walking a runway in a string bikini my ass would be in the gym everyday lol.

Never met jay alexander or Miss J, I have met ANDRE LEON TALLEY and he has actually had a really big influence on my career. After finding out I was a mua, he asked me to send him my portfolio and I thought he was just trying to be polite but he called Gucci (my employer) and told her he wanted me to shadow a mua on a shoot for american vogue. Due to his approval I was able to work on several American vogue shoots throughout the years and went from shadowing the muas to actually working on models myself. Hes very big on helping young black people in the industry and I have a lot of respect for him. Hes a really nice guy, he has a big personality and just overall a good disposition. Girl how you know Ozwald Boateng?? Most americans dont know him. Unless youre british lol. I met him at a party he held at his house a couple of years ago. His wife was beautiful and his kids are as well. I was surprised when I heard they divorced, they seemed really in love. I forget her name but it was something unique. His house is sick as well, its in one of the nicest areas of London. I met him briefly and he complimented me on my dress. And for some reason I remember he had a bidet in his bathroom lol.
@ La Garçonne Ive worked with michelle stafford and shes really nice and funny. She offered me half of her sandwich lol and even when I said no thanks she was like you sure? You dont need to be polite if youre hungry have it. she asked me a lot of questions on make up techniques. Ive also worked with an actress from that show, her name was amelia and she was a brunette, I forget her last name. she was very quiet the entire time I did her makeup, it was kind of awkward lol. Ive also worked with elizabeth hendrickson. Very pretty in person and she was polite, but she was talking on the phone the entire time and kept playing with her hair and pushing it in her face with was annoying. I dont have much tea on soaps though sorry.

I can consign with the blue incog about the miranda hate, but more specifically from candice. If you look at candice and miranda theyre almost the brunette and blonde versions of each other. When candice first started with vs there was a lot of tension between her and miranda because of the competition, but then miranda got married and had her baby and candice got all the attention and miranda was kind of pushed to the background. @Marlon12 i met jensen in like 2005 i think. he was talking to a friend of mine about the film he did with halle berry and you could tell how excited he was about it. he is really handsome in person, his skin was gorgeous and his outfit was on point. my friend introduced me to him and he had the most beautiful smile but then he had to excuse him shortly after that so i didn't get really get to talk to him. i met boris with his wife nicole at a party a while ago and he was really nice, she was kind of bitchy. we were talking about places we had traveled to or something like that, and she came out of nowhere and grabbed his upper arm and started talking to him like i wasn't standing there. but he was polite and introduced us and she looked me up and down and stuck out her hand like she didn't even want to: and then said 'what were you two talking about' with this fake ass smile and i could tell she wasn't about to leave so i told boris it was nice to meet him and left. basically the impression i got was that she is incredibly clingy and jealous.

@Dorothy Gale i've heard jennifer is really insecure and feels pressured to lose weight.. whenever she has fittings stylists make her feel bad for having tits and being bigger than sample size. she's always talking about how she doesn't want to be bony and likes being curvy but i think she's just trying to hide her insecruity.
@Gus Fring yes i have known terry since almost since the beginning of my career. i can totally cosign with the other incog, he is a creep, plain and simple. he doesn't try it with the top models because he knows their word agaisnt his would have merit, but he takes advantage of new models coming in the industry, especially the eastern european ones. he doesn't really mess with american or english speaking models, the foreign ones are almost always more desperate to be successful because they have more at stake. everyone in the industry knows what he does but they all just ignore it because he's so high profile now. his style of photography is usally overtly sexµal, sometimes just completely vulgar. one of the first things he always asks a model when she comes in to shoot is if she's willing to be topless/nude. if it's a big model and she says no, no means no. but if she's new he will test her boundaries. and his crew joins in. when there's a whole set of people older than you telling you that it's ok to do it, it takes a really tough young girl to say no.
this is kind of hard because i've met so many nice models but i would say the ones that are a joy to work with are adriana lima, arlenis sosa, jourdan dunn, irina shayk, emanuela de paula, karmen pedaru, doutzen kroes, and gisele. worst: shalom harlow (expected, she was married to terry ugh), chanel iman, abbey lee, tyra, cara delevigne, and jessica hart.
@Jerrica Benton francesco is hands down the finest photographer in the industry, he's really sexy in person and his accent is to die for! he's very down to earth and is completely unpretentious, i kind of expected him to be a fashion snob because of who his mom is but he is very humble and just a normal guy. he mostly dates models. i've heard he and naomi dated briefly before she was with the russian billionaire.
