Ignore DMCA vps

nam0xbinam0xbi Member

My website has DMCA content, and currently, I'm using two VPSs: one main VPS that holds the source and a second VPS (located in LA) acting as a proxy and pointed through Cloudflare (the orange cloud) as a shield. If reported, the worst that will happen is the VPS will be taken down. Should I use a VPS located in Russia to bypass DMCA, since it is not applied there? Or do I need to use an offshore VPS?

    Use ihostart vps

  • Because my Oracle VPS doesn't have an IPv4 address, I had to use this method, which is why the website loads a bit slowly.
Client → Cloudflare (reverse proxy) → VPS Nginx (reverse proxy) → SSH reverse tunnel → Oracle (origin)

origin->proxy->cloudflare will be fine, every abuse email from cloudflare goes to proxy server

  • Ask a lawyer, what the fuck lol

They need to unban this man. Unjust IMO.

  • I am not your lawyer, but I don't think confessing to crimes on a public forum is good for you.

Your best option is an offshore vps. You can also always get one normal vps and and one cheap offshore vps with nginx reverse proxy to hide the IP of the normal vps.

I'm curious about your "Offshore" servers
I didn't know the Netherlands was an offshore island now, when did that happen?

You don't need to buy some sketchy ru vps to not have DMCA issues. Just get a vps from Alyx (Calibour) or another DMCA ignored host and it will do. If you want an alternative to Cloudflare, check out altrosky @justaguy. They are DMCA ignored and will not forward DMCA notices.
