Three 🇨🇳 citizens have been arrested in Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, by the State Security Service of Georgia for attempting to illegally purchase 2 kg of uranium. The group planned to pay $400,000 for the radioactive material and then transport it to China through Russia. One of the Chinese citizens, who was residing in Georgia illegally, brought to the country “experts interested in purchasing uranium” and began actively searching for the substance nationwide. Other members of the criminal group coordinated the operation from China. The arrests occurred during the negotiation phase, and searches of apartments in Tbilisi and Batumi uncovered electronic devices, contracts, and payment records linked to the planned transaction. cbsnews.com/amp/news/chine 1tv.ge/lang/en/news/s
