Another source for books is Paperback Swap (not free, but very low cost)

The Handmaid's Tale, the FUCKING Handmaid's Tale? That book being banned says a lot about the people who banned it. I feel truly sorry for the Americans who still have a brain and use it.
Support your local independent used book stores and booksellers. Libraries are also ferociously protective of patrons' privacy. "The FBI has not been by today."
Anna's Archive. Millions of books in pdf and epub files, free to download. A lot safer than the Pirate Bay, and you don't have to spend a dime.
Join QueerLiberationLibrary (dot org) for books, too
Why the fuck are they banning Captain Underpants
They fear the power of the underpants
I noticed 1984 wasn't on there, that's another really good one that discusses political corruption. It reminds me a lot of the US's current government, I highly recommend!!

So then you are for putting the bible back in the public square?
So long as the Satanic Bible, and EVERY OTHER religion's Holy texts are displayed with it. Yes. If only the Christian bible then no.
@sweetwolf4evr I am for all of them being allowed.
As am I because people deserve freedom of religion and separation of church and state. Their existence in libraries doesn't bother me, as educational materials. I also believe in teaching philosophy in high school. For the same reason.
Book bans... that's sad... books are so magical... you can go anywhere... learn anything... books are power... that's why they want to restrict them... they want us to be trapped in stupidity... we can't let that happen... everyone should buy at least 5 books that are going to be banned so we can stockpile them for future generations. We need to teach them the truth and to be wiser than those in control now are... just a thought... it's what I'm doing... I want to have a library of great books that upset the regime that is trying to take away our freedom and our knowledge. We can't let them do that... ever 🙏🏼
i worked for over 26 years in libraries... been hoarding books my whole life...
Me, too!! I have been going to the library since I was very, very young. I love it there 😍
