Justin Mccareins spent eight productive years in the NFL, retiring in 2008. He played wide receiver and kick returner with the Tennessee Titans for four years and spent four years with the New York Jets, reaching the playoffs with successful winning teams five of the eight years. After his career in the NFL, Justin's desire to give-back in appreciation of his financial success in a physically demanding arena, made serving the Coral Springs, Florida community as a police officer his next mission.
During his six-year tenure as an officer, he became a member of the SWAT Team and attended numerous law enforcement/SWAT schools and courses to maximize his success. As a field officer, he was exposed to all phases of law enforcement and the dynamics of dealing with the public on a daily basis.
Justin grew up in the Chicago suburbs and graduated in 2000 from Northern Illinois University with a degree in communications. After 17 years, Justin is still the all-time leader in every major receiving category, setting records for receptions, yards and touchdowns, attaining an All-American honorable mention before graduating, and being drafted by the Titans in the 4th round. In 2011 he was inducted into the NIU Hall of Fame and ranked in the top 10 among NIU’s 50 Greatest Players in Huskie Stadium history in 2015. His give-back to the NIU campus, in hopes of inspiring future athletes, was his leadership donation for building the McCareins Auditorium within the state-of-the-art Academic and Athletic Performance Center completed in 2007.
Justin moved to Frisco, Texas from Florida in 2015 to assist his brother, Jay, in establishing "MAC Speed and Strength" in Plano, a training center for elite athletes. .
