A Belgian police officer in the City of Brussels local police unit working in the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles zone was arrested and indicted for espionage on Oct 2. The charges relate to spying for China, but the officer is also being investigated as to whether he additionally spied for Russia. He is suspected of taking or sharing images of opponents of the Chinese and Russian regimes during demonstrations in Brussels. He was reportedly targeted for his access to the “international diplomatic world”. The officer was later released under strict conditions. politico.eu/article/belgia brusselstimes.com/1792652/belgia rtbf.be/article/un-pol
