Tokyo police have arrested 🇨🇳 national Li Zhaobei (李照北) on suspicion of playing a role in attempted cheating on a TOEIC English proficiency test in Japan. Li is suspected of soliciting the cooperation of 🇨🇳 graduate student Wang Likun (王立坤) for the cheating, and paying him a reward. Wang gave answers to other test-takers via a mini microphone hidden under his face mask and smart glasses. Wang, who is said to be an acquaintance of Li, was arrested and indicted earlier this year. Wang used a false name when he sat for the test. Tokyo police say that after analyzing seized personal computers and other devices they suspect Li worked with Wang in the systematic cheating scheme. Li did not take the test, but phoned Wang multiple times while it was taking place. The police have not disclosed whether Li has admitted to the allegations. www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/ne youtu.be/TMQ5K0h1Uzw?si
