She was just 15 when she started year 12 at Macquarie College in Wallsend.
She skipped kindergarten and started school a year early, making her the youngest among her peers.
"I don't notice being a year younger, and I know lots of other people forget too. I'm actually taller than most of my peers. But being younger definitely hasn't been a barrier for me," she said.
Aspiring to study medicine, Ms Imhoff will still be 16 for the first half of the university semester when she embarks on her tertiary education journey.
"I'm not too worried about being this age. I'm looking forward to having some new experiences," she said.
Undertaking a large academic workload while participating in multiple sports, including hockey, basketball, cross-country, and water polo, she's on a mission to achieve an estimated ATAR above 99.
"I love to learn, so I work hard for the HSC because I enjoy it," she said.
"I actually find playing a few sports makes schooling easier for me because I enjoy everything I do. It doesn't feel like work."
"I'm definitely a perfectionist and always want to improve. I never really get 100 per cent on anything, I almost enjoy that actually, because it gives me an opportunity to grow more."
She said she wanted to study medicine because she enjoyed mathematics and science.
"I want the opportunity to use them both in my job and have the opportunity to learn new things with new treatments and procedures," she said.
Ms Imhoff said she never wanted to attend a selective or top-ranked school, and opted for an independent Christian School that was ranked among 300 in the state for HSC results.
"I think that if you push yourself and you want to achieve something, you definitely can. It doesn't matter if you go to a good school. If you're determined to do something good with yourself, you will be able to," she said.
She said that surrounding herself with supportive friends and family had helped her push to strive for more.
