As someone who been called a "Nazi" and a "fascist" endless times for the most banal, mainstream positions, I'm still shocked to hear about the direct threats that Lunduke and others have encountered. Completely unacceptable, dangerous, and deranged.
The Violent Extremism of Tech Conferences Tech Conferences - big and small, from Open Source to Big Tech - have been heavily promoting Leftist Extremism... often including encouraging violence.

I really did want to believe that all this endless agitation for violence from the folks who see Nazis and fascists everywhere was just bluster. But after Kirk's assassination, and the cheers it got, I must own that this was naive.

This makes it all the more important that we don't let open source be defined by these violence-loving nut jobs. And work on alternatives that route around the ideologically-damaged choke points. I'm happy to do exactly that every day.

Key insight here. I used to (foolishly) believe we could reason with the ideologically possessed, but I’ve realized that the only way is around. Doing my best to put in the work here as well.

Collectivism by its very definition does not allow dissent. You cannot reason with them because they cannot be wrong. One of the defining characteristics of Left wing movements is revenge and ego. They do not want to be reasoned with.
