>>562454That sucks nonna. And I can attest to TTRPG being a social game that appeals to people who fundamentally are
shit at social stuff so a group of people who suck at interacting but have known each other for years but suck at it? Doesn't surprise me.
It's kind of why I run rings around people in WoD spaces because while I am introvert, I'm socially on the ball. And Vampire relies heavily on presence and social manipulation a lot of the time which…a lot of autistic neckbeards don't get it. Being likeable is half the battle in VtM, honestly, if you want to get anything. Be an asshole, sure, but be a
likeable one.
As to my tips of getting a better group, bully your normie friends into playing. Honestly. Legit. Just grab normies you already like and sit them down to play. The ones who like it will continue, the ones who don't? Meh. So they stop.
>Nonas what was your first DnD experience like?Years and years ago. My first games were with my Dad and his group. This was 2nd edition. And I played an elf paladin named Cassandra who was also a Princess. I was like…seven. So that makes sense obviously. And when Baldur's Gate (the first one…) came out, he remade that character for me and played as her during the game. I would watch him play for hours as his navigator.
Good memories, honestly. I'm hoping to pass the same to my kids playing games together.
