I think Ed Markey needs to retire and Ayanna Presley should run and block Seth Moulton from that seat. We need younger folks in office but it can't be Moulton. He would be a disaster for Massachusetts.
I think Michelle Wu would be phenomenal to run for Warren's seat in 2030 or for the governorship. She's a political star and I could easily see her as a future presidential candidate. She's the future of the Massachusetts democratic party.

It's the worst thing watching resegregation happen in real time to please a bunch of white supremacist nazis in power.

This is worse than just axing these verticals. They are eliminating the teams behind them but will push stories under these verticals by newsroom staff without the expertise or background to properly report. So we'll have NBC OUT stories reported by non-LGBTQ staff w/ no experience in the subject.
This shit just sucks. It's the worst watching incredibly hard working and talented journalists lose their jobs because their work makes the white supremacists in power uncomfortable while billionaire oligarch sycophants like Bari Weiss get 9 figure paydays and fail upwards. This is unsustainable.

Suffice it to say, these are not kids. These are full grown ass adults, many of them in their late 20's and early 30's. At least one was a elected state senator in Vermont. And even if they were, it's never ok to make antisemitic and racist jokes like that.
You have to wonder if White House staffers are simply showing him AI videos at this point and he thinks it's reality.

BREAKING: Friday night massacre underway at CDC. Doznes of "disease detectives," high-level scientists, entire Washington staff and editors of the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) have all been RIFed and received the following notice:
Anyone else think it's odd that the US just lost one of its last major munitions producer on the day the Nobel peace prize was awarded? The world has basically run out of high explosives and has no immediate capacity to scale back up to produce it again. Could be coincidence but it's kinda spooky.
This article covers a lot of the issues here. I've been hearing that basically the world is out of munitions. Russia has a leg up because they've been to reindustrialize but it's still not enough. The cold war stockpiles are gone.
www.reuters.com/investigates...
It's truly comical that the largest source of TNT for the US before 2022 was in Eastern Ukraine. That facility is gone. It's now Poland but they scaled up to help defend eastern Europe and supply Ukraine. Israel basically demolished the remaining stockpiles bombing Gaza.
The Trump admin being incredibly vindictive to the federal work force and threatening to withhold pay and conducting mass layoffs are really self defeating moves because they need a staffed work force for to actually enact the policies they want.
Sure, they think the work force is all liberal deep state but as we saw with DOGE, they had to hire so many back because they needed them for critical things like, I don't know, keeping airplanes from colliding and forecasting hurricanes. But most importantly, they've gutted federal law enforcement.
But at the end of the day, you need actual people to get things done, with experience and expertise. They're just shooting themselves in the foot thinking they just shot the hostage.

This is now the blueprint for men to control trans women. Have sex with them and then threaten to go to police unless they do what he wants. It's ripe for abuse from men who will weaponize their shame. It also builds their narrative of trans women being sexual predators even when the victim.
This is horrifying. Now she'll be placed with men in prison where she is at extreme risk of being raped and sexually assaulted. And then she has to register as a sex offender.

It's also, most importantly, the kind of legislation that Texas used to effectively ban abortion that SCOTUS refused to block. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Even if successfully challenged, it will take years to litigate and we end up with the benefit of ending these legal ends runs around constitutional rights by simply applying a private right of action.
Not for nothing but if you're high profile and need to flee the US, don't tell anyone in advance. It's also most certainly better to leave via a smaller land border crossing and catch your flight from Canada or Mexico. Much less ability for the feds to prevent you from leaving that way.

www.wired.com/story/mark-b...
You still run the risk of having your passport flagged or even revoked which could limit your ability to enter Canada or Mexico but those are even more drastic steps than being put on no-fly lists or other tools the feds have to interfere with international air travel.

Not sure why there's suddenly a complete freakout on the far right about bloodlust from liberals for revenge come 2029. Could be mirror propaganda to stir up preemptive crackdowns or just a realization of how hated these people are.
Realistically, even if Republicans allow Dems to regain power, it'll probably be some milquetoast liberal who will want to "move on" to "let the country heal." There will never be investigations, trials, or prison for all the human rights abuses we're witnessing for the people in power.
The worst part about the AI bubble popping is how many average people will be affected by the economic fallout. People will lose their job, kids will go hungry, and families will lose their homes. Yet these billionaire bastards won't feel a thing other than a decline in their net worth.
One of the crazy things about the AI bubble bursting is that consumer sentiment toward AI has always leaned skeptical to outright negative but it’s an industry propped up by pure billionaire greed, sycophancy, and childish fantasy
