I don't think there's a current build. It's easy to get Lua built if you want something like that, but C is actually usable as an application programming language on Plan 9 so people usually just use that. rc is a really good scripting language, there's also always awk. Then Rails came and ruined everything, but also made it lucrative to know Ruby, even though Rails treats Ruby like PHP.

In this case, it's a really nice language for the task. I hate having to dance around escaping in bash, and system() is variadic in Ruby, so you can treat it like `fork()||(execve("loldongs", exact_uninterpreted_arg_list, environ), exit());waitpid()`.
