Sometime later
It's a beautiful day in the park; birds are chirping, and flowers are blooming. Days like this are perfect for many things, including going on a run.
“Alright Amy, you got this,” she says, while stretching for her first lap around the park.
The pink hedgehog had finally been able to gather enough will to force herself to stop herself from eating any more and do something about her rising weight. Better late than never, was her logic.
As she prepared herself, she couldn’t stop to think how different her training gear and clothing felt after so long of not using it. Especially around her torso, where it felt so tight she wondered if it had gotten shrunk in the wash.
But that was just part of her brain trying to ignore how much she had grown in the weeks she had started to eat as if her life depended on eating one large pizza pie every day.
But today that was finally going to change. She was going to make her life go back to normal, for her and for Sonic too.
“Okay, I’m ready. One, two, three… go!” Amy starts running, feeling the wind in her like she hadn't in a long time. Everything was going great… at first, but the more she ran, the more she started to feel the consequences of her recent binges.
First and most obvious was the problems caused by her weight. It wasn’t so easy to run with a weight bothering the three digits as it was with her original weight of 60 pounds. Then there was the way his body moved after it got bigger.
Her breast, belly, and ass bounced more than they had ever done, which made running uncomfortable in a way the pink hedgehog had never felt. The only reason why she wasn’t fully red in the face was because nobody seemed to be looking at her.
But her last problem, and one that can only be described as unique, is the little conflict that’s going on inside her head as she runs. Last night, she dared to give another look to the magazine that, for some reason, she hadn’t found the time nor interest to give back to its owner.
Instead, she had given it small glimpses here and there. And the last time she had done so, she had read something that perked her interest. It was a small article about some fat Mobians who liked to go out on runs as an excuse to show off their bodies to the rest of the world.
She wonders if that was the reason why she had finally found the motivation to go out to exercise, as this is her way of showing how much she had gained. Was she starting to become like the ladies in the magazine? Would she really let herself become—
“Auch!” Amy wasn’t sure what had happened, but from one second to the next she went from running to being on the ground with a pain near her foot. Apparently she had been so deep in thought that she had not noticed there was a tree root on her path.
As she stood up, she tried to go on a run again, but the pain in her leg made it impossible; at best, she could walk, and even then, she had to do it slowly.
“Great, guess I’m going to have to go for a walk then.”
“Chili dogs! Buy a delicious chili dog!” screams a nearby vendor as he pushes his food cart filled with Amy’s husband’s favorite dish.
“Then again, I probably shouldn’t push myselfthat hard. I’ll rest for a while in my home and then go back to losing weight, yeah.” But deep down the hedgehog knew that what she had said was nothing but an empty promise.
