Sometime later

“Gosh, I never thought something could taste this good,” says the pink hedgehog as she finishes her last pepperoni slice from the pizza she had ordered less than an hour ago.

An entire pizza, for her, and nobody else. No friends, no husband, just Amy Rose and her empty stomach.

A week ago, after Amy's first taste of the delicious pizza that she had devoured all by herself, the day after that, she had thought about ordering another one, thinking that a slice or two would make for a great meal. Plus, she would be helping a failing restaurant, which pushed her more to do so.

When it arrived, she told herself she would only be eating enough until she felt full. Unfortunately for her, that required eating the entire pie.

And ever since that day. Something—she wasn’t sure what—but whatever it was. It was pushing her to order another one every single day. And every time, she would eat all the slices, leaving no trace of there ever being a pizza.

But even though her motives were a mystery, she couldn’t deny that she was enjoying it nonetheless. Perhaps too much.

While rubbing her stomach, Amy looks downwards and notices one of the biggest fears many women suffer from. The dress looked tight around her belly.

It wasn’t too much; a belly pot would be an accurate description. Vhubby too, but Amy felt a bit ashamed describing herself in such a way.

A part of her wanted to blame it all on her old metabolism, but she wasn’t so blind to the fact. Even if she was still a teenager obsessed with her crush, she would have still packed on that amount of weight.

“Oh darn! I'm totally going to have to buy new clothes if I keep this up. If only my gym hadn’t closed for renovations. And it doesn’t help that Eggman hasn’t shown his ugly face for weeks for me to go kick some badniks.”

A bit frustrated, she crosses her arms and furrows her brow, thinking about her terrible luck. But wait! There was still something else she could blame for her increase in weight.

“That dumb flyer!” Amy looks around for it, but it doesn’t seem to be anywhere. Then she remembers that she had left it near her house phone so she didn’t have to remember their phone number every time she called.

She could easily use her cellphone for that, but she didn’t like the idea of having a constant reminder of how many times she must have called now in a week and a few days.

She gets up from her sofa and walks to the kitchen, where she finds it. That little piece of paper that had started it all. She quickly and aggressively picks it up, getting ready to rip it apart.

“You aren’t going to bother me any—wait. What’s that?” Looking under the big picture that advertised the large pizza discount, she noticed that there were others beneath it. Two, in fact. One for a twelve-sliced pizza with extra cheese, and another one for a 2-liter soda, both of them at only 15 ringgits. Pocket money for Mobians!

The hedgehog fidgets with the flyer a bit and bites her lip gently. She wasn’t sure if what she was thinking was a good idea. But then her stomach grumbles a bit, as if it were giving its own piece of mind.

“Well, when Eggman attacks, I can’t do it with an empty stomach. Besides, it’s not my first time gaining some weight; I’ll probably lose it in a week or two!”

And thus the hedgehog starts dialing the pizza place number, unaware of the fun that is about to come.
