‘Don’t know why this is considered abuse’: Dad was shocked at arrest for nearly killing newborn

A 35-year-old father in Wisconsin is accused of severely abusing his newborn son, allegedly breaking both of the 6-week-old’s femurs and fracturing seven of his ribs, among other near-fatal injuries.

William Paul Page was taken into custody on Monday and charged with one count of physical abuse of a child by repeated acts, intentionally causing great bodily harm, and one count of strangulation or suffocation, court records show.

According to the criminal complaint, Page’s wife brought their baby to a hospital due to injuries to the child.

The mother told police she had seen Page strike the child about a week prior. Page had ‘angry outbursts’ while caring for the boy, she said.

Medical examinations revealed the newborn suffered a shocking array of injuries that prosecutors say nearly resulted in his death.

Beyond the broken femurs and seven fractured ribs, the infant also suffered a clavicle fracture, a chest contusion, and hemorrhages to the eyes.

Upon arrest, Page reportedly said, “I don’t know why this is considered abuse…this isn’t intentional.

This is a statement from a man who has obviously been told his lack of anger control is not his fault all his life!! Psychopathic narcissist!! Probably beats his wife aswel!! Bet he wont have any anger issues once he’s in jail with men his own size…

He needs to be permanently removed from the child's life. Why the mom waited so long to get him help I will never understand. The child may be better off in foster care or being adopted by better parents.
