New build or upgrade?
New Build
Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
Un-opened PSU -
Monitor I've had in use for about 2 & 1/2 years -
*I do have a current pre-build that I can list the components from if you're curious but it may not be worth it. I've had it for about 3 years and though it has been a solid machine overall, I'm certain that the GPU fan is going bad, which I could get a replacement for fairly cheap, but it's a single fan card and the CPU could most likely use some fresh paste. My journey into this thing ended abruptly when I dug in and discovered the rats nest from the PSU and overall crappy cable management. Which is mainly why I picked up a modular PSU to use in a new build (hopefully it's at least decent)
I did replace the RAM last year with - so if these can be utilized & efficient in the new build, let me know.
PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Gaming
Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
USA
Closest Micro Center is about an hour away
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
Looking toward a 1440p build with the sweet spot of 165hz. May consider replacing current monitor if a better one can be suggested at an individual budget cap of 500$ 27''-32'' preferred
Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
Budget range (excluding any potential monitor calculations) would be $800-$1200
WiFi or wired connection?
Wired primarily, with WiFi & Bluetooth capabilities - "This is the way"
Size/noise constraints?
I'd like a spacious tower with plenty of room to work in as well as to provide optimal case cooling.
Color/lighting preferences?
Minimal lighting preferred to keep heat generation low, but also don't want complete darkness.
Any other specific needs?
*Prefer a MB with M-Flash or EZ Flash update capabilities and a friendly UI.
*FPS over quality however, also don't like having to skimp much on the visuals either.
For instance: Shadow quality alone has a significant impact on the components and this is normally the first setting that I'm OK with sacrificing a bit if I had to for smoother gameplay.
I don't need over 9000 FPS or anything, and I'm happy with at least a solid consistent 60+
